Sidney Griffith Sid; Sidney Porsche Buyers Beware, Beware, Sid the scammer Griffith is dishonest, misrepresents and will ignore you once paid Springfield Missouri
Sidney Griffith (aka Sid) lives in Springfield, MO and represents himself as a Porsche lover (Salesman) with many years of experience. He'll tell you his cars he sells (primarily 912's) are sourced by him and redone and sold by him. He'll tell you he "is just an honest guy in overalls". This is the first warining when I should have ran the other way. Anytime someone is compeellled to tell you their honest, they're ususally anything but.
The 1967 Porsche 912 I purchased from him didn't run and he said "the engine is the best part". $10K+ later of repairs and it still isn't done. Sid woudn't take my calls/emails and refused to do anything to assist. He's dishonest, deceptive, and not a person to purchase any vehicle from under any circumstances. Let my mistake be your gain. Ignore his ads which he places on Porsche Club of America (PCA.org) site, Ebay, Craigslist, Autotrader, etc.
Beware of Sidney (Sid) Griffith. Do NOT buy from him.
