Very bad experience! timeline on finishing our barn was not met! pricing and materials constantly changed. upgrades requested were not completed because dealing with the flanigans was so stressful we just wanted them to finish what they started. Tom keeps asking us to give them a chance to fix things but dealing with them is so stressful. we just hired someone else to fix problems. project was to start on sept 15 atually started due to rain on sept 17. they requeted 60 percent of payment  with materials and even requested cash which should have been first red flag.

then second payment of cash came one week after. project suppose to be completed in four days it was finally done three weeks later. but we did not get everything we wanted and the work was very bad. roof uneven, stall fronts bent. not centered and wood slats uneven in the gates. tack room i had to request walls all the way up which charged extra. tack room floor not stable i have to shore up myself to make stronger. we requested water and electric run that wasnt completed and we have a new contractor doing and fixing the wiring they did wrong.

we ended up paying 1100 dollars that tom said we owed even though we are not satisfied with work and we are paying somone else to fix. we couldnt trust them to fix the issues cause getting them to call you back is an act of God. i now have a peice of trim blowing in the wind we called them just this morning and still no answer. we have yet to receive warranty papers for the shed.Anyone else that has a problem please contact me we need to stop these guys!!!!this is seriously still causing us stress and i want these guys to not do this to anyone else.if hey cause us anymore stress we will contact authorities.

This man has scammed so many people.  There are various names of the company.  He changes his company names and his phone numbers, then goes at it again.

Claims he is an honest family man.  Do not trust him!!

Lets stick together and get the authorities on him.  He is a coward, he does not follow through or communicate.  Then he tries to turn everything around and blame another family member - sometimes his own son!!  He doesn't show up for meetings when he schedules a meeting with you.

As a clarification to our post, our contract was not with Valley View Barns, it was with Simpson Buildings.  The association between the two arose out of phone calls and text messages we received, from October 26th, 2013 through November 26th, 2013, from a phone number that when called was answered “Valley View Barns”.  Because there was never any clarification as to who we were talking to, the same representatives we dealt with talked with us on phone lines for both companies, we assumed there was an affiliation.

Correction on dates, project was to start on October 15, 2013 but delayed until October 17, 2013 due to wet ground conditions.  The project ended and final invoice presented on October 31, 2013 and was paid on that date.

We were offered a final walk through, which we completed with the young man who built our barn (October 31, 2013).  All issues were pointed out but the options offered would have further inconvenienced our lives, such as the removal and return of the stall fronts.  The damaged stall front product should have never been picked up from the supplier or delivered and installed on our barn in the first place.  We were so frustrated with the project at that point that we decided to live with the result, pay the final amount due, and contract out any remaining work on our own.

The barn concept is exactly what we were looking for but the workmanship and attention to detail is not what we have been accustomed to with the many contractors we have hired for past indoor and outdoor projects.  We will come to resolution on the current situation and move on.

Mr Taylor,

We had a conversation with your partner, because you were out of town with work. We offered to walk the barn with him "prior" to the final check being released and fix any issues. We have a documented phone conversation, as well as an email sent asking to walk the barn and fix any issues he had - again "prior to any release of the final payment, which was due when the barn was complete. We also offered to take the stall fronts back to the supplier and get them replaced.

We have sent you "another" resolution by email, sense the first resolution "which was to walk the barn" and fix any issues, again prior to you writing the final check when it was complete.

If you have an issue with your barn / contract with Simspon buildings, please respond to the email resolution that was sent to you and Chris.

Since Ripoff Reports keeps everything private there is no way to get in touch with you.  Email (((email redacted))) or go to Craigslist and see the posting for Consumer Fraud Alert.

There are so many unhappy people with William Thomas Flanigan.  He is a manipulator and manages to keep screwing people out of money.  Work is so poor we all have to hire someone else to finish, thus causing double the cost. Thanks
