My wife and I bought a 2005 Toyota highlander from Singh auto world in october,.My wife started driving it and noticed that the transmission was acting up. We took it back to singh and they said they took it to the toyota dealership to have it service and they said nothing is wrong with it, and gave it back to us. It was still acting up so we took it back again they said they took it to a different toyota dealership and nothing was wrong with it and gave it back. So my wife couldnt stand this car anymore so we went to a different dealership to trade it in after 3 mos.. the owner of the dealership came out to talk to us because he needed to tell us something, he proceeded to tell us that the toyota has frame damage and showed us the report on it by the vin # and it showed frame and unibody damage.. here is the worst part, it shows that the frame damage was announced at manheim auction as being damaged.

When we first bought the car they told us it was clean and no issues, showed us a clean car fax on it. So I called the owner whos name is Jeet, he said to bring it in and he will give us the money back and was very quick to do so. So my wife brought it back to him for the money and they tried to make us buy another car and dish money out to buy another car from them. So we said no we just want the money back, then he changed his whole story about how there are more miles on the car, we had the car for only 3 months and he can only give a % of the money back. We were already willing to take the loss of the tax money on the car, now he wanted to give us $2000 less so all together we would be out $3000 dollars.

I told him i owuld contact an attorney and the attorney general and he proceeded to swear at me and said that nobody threatens him. So in the end I contacted a lawyer and the attorney generals office and took the 3,000 dollars hit.

I will never do business with singh ever again and will make sure everyone I know knows about this.. What signh does is they go to the auction and buy cars that have damage and accidents and put them on the lot and tell people they are clean. That is how they sell there cars so cheap.. Please if you are thinking about buying here, do not. You might spend 1500-2000 for the same car elsewhere but trust me it is worth it.

THERE ARE SOME MANAGERS AT TOYOTA DEALERSHIPS THAT WILL........

KNOWINGLY PURCHASE hail-damaged vehicles, & flood-damaged vehicles, and then put them onto the Used Car Lot at Toyota Dealerships in order to sell them!!! Some of these managers will actually have the 'Detail Department' spray-paint areas of these FLOOD-DAMAGED vehicles, usually in the trunk area or other areas that customers don't usually look at when they are buying a vehicle. Purchasing slightly hail-damaged vehicles is a tactic that some Toyota Dealerships will use in order to 'deceive' the customers, & make more profit on the sale. You see, a slightly hail-damaged vehicle can be purchased at auction for a price LOWER than it would be if the vehicle had NO HAIL DAMAGE. However, a slightly hail-damaged vehicle could very easily pass as a vehicle with NO HAIL DAMAGE to an unsuspecting customer. Especially if it is not being displayed in the SUNSHINE. A vehicle with slight hail-damage will be easier to spot in the SUN. But some Toyota managers are SNEAKY, & this is just another TRICK in their bag of TREATS! WARNING: If you intend to ever purchase a USED VEHICLE at a Toyota Dealership it would be a GREAT IDEA for you to have an INDEPENDENT MECHANIC check it out BEFORE you sign all of the paperwork at the Toyota Dealership in regards to FINANCING it! A GOOD Toyota Dealership, with HONEST people, WILL NOT have a problem with you taking the vehicle to be looked at by an INDEPENDENT MECHANIC who has NO CONNECTION with that Toyota Dealership. Have a nice day. YOUR BEST BET IS TO STAY AWAY FROM ALL TOYOTA PRODUCTS, in my opinion. Get a Honda instead!!! 'Google' this- ENGINE SLUDGE, and go to the consumeraffairs website about Toyota Engine Problems, and read all of the engine complaints!!! Then click on 'Airbags' when you are there and read all of those complaints too. NOW ASK YOURSELF THIS QUESTION: DO I WANT TO TAKE A CHANCE & GET A DEFECTIVE VEHICLE THAT MIGHT HAVE A DEFECTIVE ENGINE, & DEFECTIVE AIRBAGS? 'Google' this- TOYOTA RECALLS 1.3 MILLION CARS WORLDWIDE, and read it! 'Google' this- YOUTUBE TOYOTA SEQUOIA DEFECT, and watch the video of a Toyota Sequoia that flipped over due to a DEFECT!!! 'Google' this- BUY A COROLLA GET BURNED LITERALLY, and read how a man burned to death in his TOYOTA COROLLA! Toyota, & its vehicles, are among the WORST in the world in quality & safety, in my opinion. WHAT DO YOU THINK?

There are always two sides of every thing. The good aspect of this website is that a consumer can tell his experience. The bad part is whatever is written by the customer in the spur of moment STAYS ON FOREVER ON THIS SITE, even if he wants to take it off. Anyway they do what they have to do but here is my side of story Joe bought highlander from us. The highlander was checked by two Toyota franchise in the period of three months and did not find any problems. When he contacted us we tried our best to trade it back and put him in another car. Even after trying several cars for few days they decide to take the money back. In three months the highlander was driven for about 12000 miles. After talking to him both of us agreed on the amount. We gave him the check which was cashed and settled. There was never a sign of resentment from him. We were never approached about any other things. In last three years we have always tried to work with our customers to full of our capacity and their satisfaction. We have long list of satisfied customers and we do encourage our customers to get the vehicle checked out with their mechanics. We strongly believe in one satisfied customer always brings his friends and family Just to get the things cleared again we sent the Highlander to another Toyota Franchise to see if it has any Frame Damage. We have the report and it does clearly says Frame check o/k I do have the report and will keep it for anybody who wants to check it out. Anyway to make it simple we did speak with Joe and have settled with him.

Update: Please disregard my previous statement against SignhAutoworld. I was very upset at the time I wrote it, since then the dealership has went the extra step to take care of me, They refunded my full amount of money plus the sales tax and also offered in the future to give me a car at their cost, nothing extra, I wrote the comments when I was upset and I will purchase another car now due to them going the extra steps to make sure I was happy. They made a bad situation good now. I have a good relationship with them now.

TWO TOYOTA DEALERS SAID THAT THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG with the vehicle, but as soon as you went to TRADE-IN your vehicle you were told about the damage by the owner of the Dealership? Joe, There are Toyota Dealerships that will PURPOSELY buy used vehicles that were in FLOODS, and vehicles with SLIGHT HAIL DAMAGE, and then they will put them on their used car lots in order to sell them to unsuspecting customers. Now we know that there are Dealers who will buy used vehicles that have FRAME DAMAGE too! It's just a sign of the times, isn't it? It's too bad that these tactics exist at Dealerships all over the USA, but now they're paying the price by seeing their sales DECLINE DRAMATICALLY, aren't they? 2009 will be MUCH worse for sales than 2008 for these Dealers & the manufacturers. Make sure to 'Google' the following- 'Google' this- TOYOTA RECALLS 1.3 MILLION CARS WORLDWIDE, and read it. 'Google' this- ENGINE SLUDGE, and go to the consumeraffairs website about Toyota Engine Problems and read all of them. There are Toyota Siennas with sludging engines. Even the newer models that came out in 2004 are sludging, according to their owners. Make sure to click on 'Airbags' when you are at the consumeraffairs website and read about the complaints from Toyota owners whose airbags are NOT DEPLOYING when they are in accidents! Even Toyota Siennas have DEFECTIVE AIRBAGS, according to the complaints. 'Google' this- YOUTUBE TOYOTA SEQUOIA DEFECT, and watch the video of a Toyota Sequoia that flipped over on I-95. 'Google' this- BUY A COROLLA GET BURNED LITERALLY, and read how Mr. SINGH burned to death in his Toyota Corolla. NEVER BUY ANY TOYOTA PRODUCTS!!! GET A HONDA INSTEAD. I'm Karl, and I approve this Update! Make sure to 'Google' this- SLUDGE POEM, and read it. Toyota's CEO, Jim Press, QUIT his position with Toyota 2 weeks after that poem was posted here on 8-23-2007. He announced his RESIGNATION with Toyota on 9-6-2007. You can 'Google' this- JIM PRESS, and read about it at the Bloomberg site. GOOD LUCK!
