Complaint Review: Smart travel - Millersville Maryland

I have been been taken by this company. Yes I signed a contract in 2005 , after 2 hours of pushing me they kept lowering the deal . They even started making me feel bad if I did not take it. I said No at least 5 times. then One guy came in the room and shut the door! He told me we need to make a deal here and get this finished. I finally signed to get out of the room. 

On my paper work they make little marks made for me to sign NO where it ask you if you felt  high pressure tactics where used,  while they stood there.   I was suffering from PTSD and was not even aware of it yet, I felt suffocated and wanted to get out of the room. I had just returned from Active duty In Iraq after over 15 months and needed a vacation deal. But I had acually signed up to win a CAR?  Anything I won was nothing as it appeared to be. 

 I have been fighting for years to get out of this.  I am fighting right now with them ,I finally got them to send me a contract to cancel but they refuse to give me any money back. frankly I do not trust them or the contract they sent me even.  Just like the contact I signed with them it is all confusing and hard to understand , but they tell you what they want to. 

 In 2010 I was told if I paid off the balance they would wave my yearly fee of $360.00 . Later that year the took it out anyway causing me to have to advance money into my account with fees. It took them a week and my calling to get it back? 

I have never used a vacation. I gave my free 3 day FREE vacation as a gift , they didn't get to use it  so I canceled it and never got my $50 deposit back. I was told I would get it back.  I got a $500 gift card was told you get this $500 card use on-line for shopping. I was not told it was to some website, all cheap quality stuff,  nothing I wanted.  I figured I would use it to buy Christmas gifts for kids in my family , after I picked out all the gifts it was just under $500 , totaled it up and SHIPPING cost was over $290 for junk?Nothing was even worth the shipping cost,  so I never use it either.

  Over the years being told I could not cancel out, I checked out few places. All are not places I really wanted to stay. They are on the lower end of quality not in the best parts of town. They all had extra Fees.  Fees for parking, room cleaning fees , even basic supplies , add your travel cost there, In reality there are NO DEALS here , you are paying for it.

This is a terrible practice to pressure people into something , that is not as it seems.  They have a excuse for everything, I was even told to sell it?  I don' think that is legal even?  Then you have to use 10 vacations and stay a full week? Honestly how many people get more than a week a year?  So even when you pay off your program your yearly fee pays for a vacation? I hate I was taken by this and mad that there are companies allowed to practice this way! MY advice  RUN, don't go, don't listen to them when they try to get in sucked  in!! TELL everyone you can so this doesn't happen to others.
