SMC ripoff & dishonest I caught them in a deceptive lie over the phone Chatsworth California
I got a call from SMC in answer to my email to them. The man I spoke to talked me into signing up with a (extra special price!!) he said he could offer today) of $365.00 or so.
He made it sound so glorious and with a added bonus of coaching. WHAT A JOKE THAT WAS.
He said I could pay a deposit of $39.95 that day and then 9 monthly pymts. of $39.95. After getting the material, I had to email (my coach?)about several questions I had. He would answer but didn't always address my issue in full. So I finally decided it wasn't for me. I needed coaching.
I emailed him about cancelling if I didn't get more help. I didn't get a reply from him that time so I called his (always available to help)phone# but got his answering machine which indicated I could transfer to customer service if I wanted. I left my coach? a message to call me to discuss this problem or I would need to cancel. I then called customer service and the man who answered was remarkably rude! and told me I had to talk to my coach only. I explained that I left him a message but needed to talk soon before my trial period was over.
In a very rude manner, he said, "Well your coach is right here right now". He then paused for abit and I heard another voice in the background. He then returned to the phone saying he wasn't available but would return my call if I had left him a message. I never received a call. I did return my kit and was refunded only $24.95. Their response to my complaint stated they had a NON REFUNDABLE $15. S&H fee that was in several info. packets I'd received. I don't see that stipulation anywhere. At least my curiousity about the business was answered. They are all excited upon signing up with them but won't take the time to address problems one might have.
