Sonic Cameras Bait & Switch! advertised cheap cameras then bombarded me with upgrades! New York New York
This company advertised the Canon Rebel XTI for $499. I ordered it online and received an email that said I had to call to confirm my order. Upon calling, I got this guy from New York named James. He told me the camera didn't have a battery and I should upgrade my whole camera and package to the better model for $700. I told him I wanted only what I purchased and not to upgrade. Then the fun started. He was a complete a*s and told me I was crazy not to upgrade. He said he was a professional photographer, the manager of the store. He said his company supplies every camera store in the country with cameras and I should upgrade or pay $400 for a new battery at Best Buy (which they sell for $80). Anyway, I told him I had to think about it. Then, called back (talked to another axxhole) and they said they would now confirm my order. The next day I received an email saying THEY WERE OVERSTOCKED AND MY ORDER HAD BEEN CANCELLED!! This was a Christmas gift and now I'm screwed.
This company is joke. If you don't take their upgrades they will cancel your order. They are very misleading with their ads and I hope they get sued.
