Complaint Review: Sorkin Law Group APLC Alina Sorkin - Irvine California

The author of this lovely rebuttal, "Peter" may be pulling the readers' peter.  This is a fake rebuttal - if there ever was one.  What the duffer that posted it does not understand is that the more you post the stronger the SEO will be, bringing your dirty laundry, Alina Sorkin (aka Alina Khodorovsky) closer to the first page of any search.  Why don't you hire reputation management consultants, Alina...instead of having your husband play around with searches, and post fake positive reviews...  The real reviews tell a compelling story about who Alina Sorkin (Alina Khodorovsky) really is.  It is easy to find out...just ask her former clients, her mother and father in Florida, her former landlords, and her law school class mates... the story is consistent.  Of course for the purposes of this rebuttal, it suffices to simply state that Sorkin is a low level ambulance chasing hustler, trying to make a few thousand dollars from small personal injury cases she can find chasing ignorant recent Russian and latino immigrants....

This is good, as more people should know how you "practice" law and live your life, Alina Sorkin.  You abuse UCI interns, threaten your landlords, bully your husband, abondoned your parents, and abuse your children.  Oh, and did we forget - you screw your clients.. the very few that you find through Russian magazine back pages and the local Jewish Family Service pamflets.  I dare you to produce a single satisfied client... a single repeat client!  you have none... zero.... You do threaten secretaries and receptionists, and threaten to sue people if the air conditioning in your cubicle that you rent for below market rates is low.  You also know how to flirt with men...but not many takers... Who wants to be with a neurotic, angry, sad person?  Who?  

Your knowledge of the law is limited to having UCI interns file insurance claims and send out boiler plate document production requests.  Yes, you can write a few nasty letters and make threats, and yell at someone on the phone... That is - unfortunately for your clients - is where your ankle-biting skills end.  You are a sad coward, Alina. Call your mother in Florida and tell her that you are a sorry for disgracing her.

That report is typical of someone who does not understand how contingency litigation works. It is an ignorant report by someone who does not know what they are talking about and overexpected the value of their case. I am a client of that law Group and so us my wife. Alina runs a firm that is busy and we do not expect her to drop everything just to return a phone call. That firm does their job without us having to get into details with them. Period. Bulldog of a lawyer, i would not want to have her on the other side. 

I am familiar with Alina Sorkin and do not intend to malign her in this posting, although I will admit that I am not a fan of hers.  I cannot comment on the veracity of the complaints leveled against her on this web site or other sites.  I do find it curious that no cases associated with Alina Sorkin list J Acosta as a party or seem to relate directly to the alleged story described in the consumer report.  If I was a betting person, I would suspect that the author of the report was either Ms Sorkin herself or an associate of hers - does not seem like an arms length endorsement.

First let me start by saying that I'm not the type to write a review but after reading what was on this site I felt that something needed to be said.  I never had to worry about getting a hold of her, when I needed her she was there.  She fought for me and made things right, period.  She never did tell me to go back to Mexico but she did tell me to go home and take it easy and recover.

Now I did have a personal experience with Mrs. Sorkin and I can't even begin to express how my life changed but I will try. 

Back in 2009 I visited Mrs. Sorkin's office reluctantly.  Not because I had read any reviews or heard about her but because visiting an attorney in general was something that I had always hoped I would never have to do.   I've always felt that the justice system was one that didn't do much for the individual but more for the big guys (companies, etc.).   Let me just tell you I feel much different now.  Though she was inviting and nice she straight to business from the moment we walked in.  In not so many words my face was broken and I needed help fast.  I felt like she understood not only the urgency but also what I was going through so I decided to hire her.


Though I can't give much information about the case I can only tell you a few things. I needed surgery on my face and because I had no money doctors would not operate on me with out some sort of guarantee or down payment, two of which I could not give.  They had said that without surgery I could potentially see my face start to droop over the next few years.  I don't know about you but this scared me to death.  I spoke with Mrs. Sorkin and she said let me handle it, and that's just what she did.  Before I new it I was on the surgery table getting my procedure done.

I'm not going to make this sound like it was an easy road because it wasn't.  It was a long process that Mrs. Sorkin and I had to take.  Thanks to her and her team I was able to focus on recovery while they took care of all the legal issues for me.  We had our day in court and she handled it like a professional.   You would have thought that she was fighting for something that had happened to her.  We won the case and today my life has changed.

Though I had to change my career due to this injury and now have a metal plate in my head I don't look at it as a complete nightmare.  With what Mrs. Sorkin was able to do for me I was able to Get my medical taken care of and even start a new career path with a new company I am happy to say I have started my self.  I will forever be thankful for what her and her team did.  I will never have to guess who has my back when I need some legal help.

Sadly we are victims too.  Alina Sorkin messed our case and never paid our settlement.
