Complaint Review: Soundwave Entertainment - Internet

Hello Mr. Legaci,

Your rebuttal was so long I found it aggravating to read, especially the misspelled words and some grammar errors. Please make a stronger effort to check it before you submit it. 

Also, take the time to read Ripoff Report Guidelines which state NO original complaint report shall be deleted , even with legal action. It will remain on the internet FOREVER. You do have some dispute or arbitration rights that you can look up yourself.

Write something short next time and people will enjoy reading it more.

this our rebuttal to these false statements made!!!



Let me first start off by saying I love your website. Its really cool but as far as my cruise goes and how it was advertised as a family cruise to watch fireworks on the water.  The person that mad the complaint sounds like they being on your website not us.  There is a disclaimer on our website www.bangonthebay.com that says NO REFUNDS and they tried to get a refund through paypal and we tried to resolve this situation through paypal and then paypal (a very professional company) obviously went through and extensive investigation and rewarded this as a NO REFUND situation in our favor. As for the cruise to watch the fire works this person that filed the report against my company is clearly lying I have 250 people on board as I was told by The captain of the boat and I have so much witnesses and pictures of people having a  good time. 

All you have from this person that made a report is a claim,  I thought in this country people are innocent until proven guilty.  Why has nobody else come forward and make a claim about us why is it just them?  I have been doing cruises for 6 years, thats quite a long time and  1 person in 6 years  makes a complaint.   So if I go to a Los Angeles Laker game and  because I want to see Kobe Bryant, but the coach bench him or he get ejected from the game, do I deserve to get my money back??? No!!!!

Our experience with the Macy's 4th of July Fireworks Display Cruise put on by Soundwave Entertainment aboard the  THE SHERYLL PRINCESS leaving out of  Pier 8, Emmons Ave, Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn, NY was one of the most horrible experiences we have ever had. 



This cruise was advertised as a family entertainment cruise with all-you-can-eat buffet. It turned out to be the "urban hip-hop cruise from hell." There were far too many people on this boat to be comfortable, to the point where there were no chairs to sit down in, once the lower dining room filled up all you could do was stand. Drinks were $9 each, and they ran out of food. It was a 7 hour ordeal of loud pounding hip hop and rap music, overpriced drinks, no place to sit, and no place to watch the fireworks from.  
  
1.      We did not advertise all you can eat buffet there was a complimentary buffet advertised

2.      They said it was and urban cruise we played top 40, dance and classic old school all night. If Michael Jackson and Miley Cyruss is considered hip hop genre then they are right that was played.

3.      We had a lot of room the boat. It sounds like this person went out of their way to have a bad time.

4.      This was not an open bar event. Alcoholic beverages as in mixed drinks were $9 which is reasonable and we dont control what the boat charge at the bar. $5 for a beer and soft drinks were free.

5.      The event was advertised as boarding 4pm and we leave at 5pm sharp to sail from brooklyn to the Hudson river and watch macys the fireworks. The return time was scheduled as 11:30. We came back around that time 11:30 12am  Saftey first no speeding on the water, this is not a speed boat.

6.     Not one hip hop and rap song was played all night and it does seem like this person is kind of prejudice to that music.

The DJ's were rude and would not turn the music down, which was so loud you couldn't even stay on the same deck it was so bad. They did not play family style music at a reasonable volume, and when we asked them to turn it down they would not, and were very nasty and rude. It seemed like this company was really a urban dance hip-hop kind of DJ pool, they were not playing the kinds of music that was really appropriate for families. 
 
7.      Our Dj was following instructions of the boat.  Music was not loud like this person says

8.      What is family style music to them we played Katie Perry (Fireworks), Black Eyed Peas and a lot of other top 40 songs

9.     This person says some of the song were not appropriate for familes. I just gave examples of what music was played. Those songs are very appropriate!



The deck was so crowded during the fireworks display we couldn't even fit out on the deck to see them and had to stay (stand) inside, missing the fireworks. We spoke to many other people during the cruise who were very unhappy and said they would never book a cruise with Soundwave Entertainment again. 

10.  Everyone else got to see the fireworks and didnt complain.. how come they didnt?

11.  Where are all these other people that that this person is talking about?? All I know is you can only speak for yourself in this World you cant talk for other people. 



Most people will probably not complain, they'd rather not deal with it, but we are posting this because we do not want other people to make the same mistake we did. We heard another boat near ours sank that night and people died, because it was overbooked and we are grateful this did not happen to us, but it very well could have. To make matters worse, we tried to get a refund but they would not give it. 
 
12.  Wowww, this person said, they heard a boat nearby was over booked and it almost sank and people died.  Google it and see if this truly happened which it didnt. You will see that this person is making this up and  want their money back and like I said before paypal ruled in our favor from the investigation they did and since this person couldnt get a REFUND  they choose to come to your site and make my company look bad.  Thats a shame that Ripoffreport.com can let anybody just post something bad about a company or a person without hearing from the other side. You people at ripoffreport have it posted and published it. Sad day for the good guys.
 
Never book a cruise with Soundwave Entertainment, you will regret it. These people are the rudest, most inconsiderate nasty people we have ever encountered. They lie, cheat and steal and then try to justify it by lying more. 
 
13.   Once again we have been doing cruises for 6 years not just 4th of july cruises, we do like 7 to 8  cruises per year and in all our years doing this we have never had any complaints you can google that too.

14.   Also by the way this person doesnt even know us so why would they say we are the rudest, most inconsiderate nasty people they have ever encountered. Im sorry, but when people attack your character and dont even know the kind of person you are .. that means they should take a look in the mirror at themselves.

Soundwave Entertainment is a disgrace to the cruise and party industry and should be put out of business. On Facebook, Soundwave Entertainment is linked to a man who goes by the name of "Legaci."
  
15.  We should be put out the party business??? We just did Memorial Weekend parties in Dominican Republic, just did a trip for people to Negril Jamaica from Aug 14 18 and doing a cruise in South Beach Miami for Columbus Day Weekend 2012.  Once again no complaints our way  do we sound like a disgrace to you??  Also we have tons of pictures of all our events.

16.  Im going to leave on this note because this person is mad because they are not getting a refund. We will give them a refund in return they take off every negative thing they ever said about my company off the internet by August 22, 2012  12am. Once its off the internet we will send them a refund if we google and see its there still no refund will be given.

17.  Now do we really sound like we lie, cheat and steal? Do we really sound like we are the rudest, most inconsiderate people they have ever encountered.  Answer is NO!!!!!
