Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

My daughter had money saved on her com data card in which is how they pay her. They fired her and refuse to turn the card back on so that she can retrieve her Money in order to get home and pay rent until she finds another job. Once a company pays you wages and then takes it back, that is Stealing! How can they get away with that? They fired her because she had a wreck in their Truck but, I know that it is illegal for the to do that. A worker said they may give it back to her in two weeks, by that time we will have no place to live!

I agree with this guy! His daughter should have been paid! This Jim whoever the hell you are is simply a moron! These trucking companies are theives abd liers! I've been back in this business for 5 years and it SUCKS anymore! It was always lousy! But at least, drivers were treated a million times better and never stolen from! This is why SRT was sued and lost a multi-million dollar lawsuit! They are owned by Covenant. Covenant is owned by CTG, Inc. stands for Covenant Transportation Group Inc. At least that is their latest version of ownership! Covenant is just as bad. They make deals with people and then refuse to honor them!

Then they yell at people on the phone, that their not honoring their ddeals with people that they make!!! Then they wonder why people get pissed off at them! SRT doesn't like to do maintenance correctly on their vehicles out on the road either! They also lie and try to say people were terminated when they transfer to Covenant, when Covent owns them!!! This is what happens when the Teamsters Union is no longer as powerful as they once were! Plus, since the US Economy is so bad, these companies feel they can get away with being crooks! SRT and Covenant=Bad News!!!! Stay away!!!

What you are NOW saying is she was fired for a collision she did not cause or could not prevent.  The police will cite someone for violation of the state or local laws.  Any trucking company's policies may be different than state or local law.  For example, it may be perfectly legal for a truck driver to make a U turn on certain streets but in some companies, doing a U turn in other than a parking lot is grounds for immediate dismissal.  However, the bottom line still is she was fired in connection with this collision.  She was the driver when this collision occurred.  Therefore, she was the accountable party in connection with this collision.  Don't even attempt to now say something like "her dispatcher was pushing her too hard" because as the accountable party, it is up to her to decide what she can do and what she cannot do, not somebody sitting at a desk.

Bottom line is she was fired and as per you, she was fired in connection with this collision.  Therefore, there was something she could have done or there was something she should not have done.  I have never heard of somebody being fired for a non-preventable collision with one exception...the driver failed to report it as per their company's policy.

Well of course you do work for them, or someone like them... Anyone like you who assumes that she is at total fault would. Furthermore, I never said that it was a preventableaccident, you did! She never got a ticket, she had Witnesses and the police sided with her. So if you want to continue being the old scrooge that you are, then that's fine. There's no help for people like you... Oh wait yes there is, its called Prozac! Merry Christmas to you anyway!

Looks Like The Nail Was Hit Squarely!

So here we have the timeless, immature old dodge when the nail was very squarely hit and the poster cannot come up with any intelligent rebuttal..."You must work for them!"

Oh yes..."anybody" can have a preventable collision.  Yes...its a COLLISION and not an "accident"!  That collision is either preventable  (meaning the driver could have done something to avoid the COLLISION) or it was non-preventable (meaning the driver could not avoid it)!

Drivers who are UNSAFE have preventable collisions.

Why not take the time to teach your daughter about managing money and her driving.

Sorry...I don't work for them!!!

You obviously work for the company or your just an idiot! The money that she had on her card was money that was already paid to her, not money owed! As far as budget her money, we all know that these Truck Driver's don't get paid much money for their hard work, dedication and time spent away from home. People like you and your Company who take advantage of hard working Truck Drivers are cruel and not appreciative of these drivers who are the reason why YOU have a job. I hope that you loose your job, then maybe then you'll shut up and gain a heart. It's Christmas and she won't have a home. Last time I checked, we are all humans and we all make mistakes. A wreck can happen to any of us... at least she didn't take a life, Thanking my Heavenly Father for that!

What You Don't Know

Trucking companies can and do withhold money to repay advances or other valid reasons. However, the bottom line is very simple. She had the collision thus bringing this upon herself. She didn't manage her money well and is living from paycheck to paycheck. Blame anybody you want but if she didn't have a preventable collision, this wouldn't have happened. NO RIPOFF HERE-just the blame game wail!
