I traded a vehicle in Texas, on 7/20/2001, drove away with a leinholder bill of sale only. As time went on I called Fairlane and asked them to send me some more paperwork on the car. Other than the bill of sale. I never got any. I was desperate for a car and did not understand the paperwork. As time went on there were a couple months i got behind, they charged really accessive fees and bothered me daily with harrassing phone calls. I mean really harrassing.

I got caught up and had some physical impairments that put me only 50 days late. I contacted them regularly and notified them of the situation and continued to speak with reps, pretty nice when you call them. On September 7, 2006. I called them and was put on hold, so I thought, well I will just call them when I get home and make a payment. They closed their office (this was a new development by the way) at 5pm CST. I knew i was not even 51 days past due, but the next morning I went out to go to bank and DMV to get the re-registration on that car. The car was gone. I hired a lawyer. We now know that they have some bad business background not approved SST/ to practice in Texas.

They owe me for all the grief and problems. by the way the interrest had been sucessfully paid and we were down to a small portion of principle less than 2000.00They took it anyway. Dont let them get away with this.

we need to re-open this case. I have suffered un-imaginable pain and grief and loss because of their behavior.

The first half of you report is confusing and unclear. The last half you were 50 dpd and they repo'ed the vehicle. That is not a rip off. Most places will recover a vehicle if you are much less delinquient like 30 days. if you cant pay your bills on time you for sure cant use the services they provide even if it is a vehicle.
