Stainsafe Ripoff, Stains on furniture are safe, consumers are not!! Palm Beach Gardens, Florida
Just like many other customers, we purchased a Stainsafe Warranty for a sofa and loveseat. Unfortunately, they did not honor their warranty. I reported the stains immediately. When they finally came to my home, I had three stains on my sofa.
I was informed that they could not get them out and they would have to replace the cushions. He even stated that it was obvious that I took care of my furniture and that the stains were common. I think he just didn't want to try to get them out and it was easier to let someone else deal with it.
Two weeks later, I received a letter denying my claim due to "accumulated" stains. I told them that they took forever to come out (after sending cleaner in the mail and telling me to try to clean it myself first).
Many letters have gone back and forth. They simply do not want to honor their warranty. I have spoken with many people that have the same exact problems and I have seen several complaints on the internet.
Because of this situation and other similar reports, my furniture dealer is no longer using Stainsafe. I would like to see more companies follow suit. They are definitely not a reputable company.
