I purchased furniture from a company in March and also purchased the Stainsafe warranty with it. The finish on the coffee table I bought is PEELING OFF! I called Stainsafe two months ago and they had someone right out to my home to look at it. He said he would replace the part that needed replacing and I haven't heard from them since.

I call them about every two weeks and they keep telling me they haven't received a report yet and to call back in a week. This has happened about four or five times. I am now having another problem, where the same coffee table is so wobbly it is about to fall apart. I told the customer service rep. this information and she told me it was probably the bolts and they would not provide anyone to come look at it because that is my responsibility. We have checked the bolts and that is not the problem.

I am currently paying off my furniture and I have paid Stainsafe $230 and have received no help what so ever. Cutomer Service reps at the company have been leading me on about getting assistance and have at times even been rude to me. Whatever happened to the idea of the customer is always right and we should come first?

Contact the original retailer where the furniture was bought

I contacted Levitz where I purchased the furniture and Stainsafe agreement. Levitz is refunding the totatl dollar I paid for the Stainsafe agreement. I am quite pleased.

The retailer is generally responsible for these types of problems

My suggestion would be to go back to the retailer in which you purchased the merchandise. They should have some type of manufacture warranty in place and wobbly legs that cannot be tightened sounds like a defect. The retailer is generally responsible for these types of problems. The peeling should definitely be a Stainsafe claim.

I purchased two items of furniture and with the Stainsafe warranty, and can not get ahold of the company. I've sent many faxes to [email protected]. I can not get through on the number 1-877-429-2935, I believe this number has been disconnected. Has anyone taken Stainsafe to court to demand their money back?
