Star Light Camera/Salesman Travis ripoff! Selling stripped items and insurance on same, web address no good and can't get address for these bums! Brooklyn New York
In Nov, 2004, I wanted a second camera to knock around with so I researched and came up with decent reports on several, one being Star Light Camera out of Brooklyn, NY.
I placed my order and they took payment immediately, stating that my shipment would be the following day with 3-4 day delivery. 3 weeks later my stuff arrived.
The camera was in a knock-off non factory box with a zeroxed label, the camera was "stripped" of all accessories, i.e. lens cap, strap,accessory attachment items and such.
I was also supposed to get a 4 year insurance plan to cover this camera and 2 others I own. YEAH,RIGHT!!!
When I tried to recontact them on the internet or get an address, it was as though they had dissappeared from the face of the earth!
I tried to get UPS to give me an address or phone # without any luck and the BUMS weren't listed in any phone directories or in any operator directories!
What ever their name is and where ever they are operating,
STAY AWAY FROM THEM!!!!! BIG TIME RIP OFF ARTISTS!!!!
I guess I'm lucky compared to some. At least I got my camera out of it! Next time I'll check the better business people before buying again from an unknown place!
