Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I went to this alleged 'physician' in August for a renewal of prescriptions. Mister Bennett (I refuse to attach the title doctor to this person) billed me for an entire physical exam even though that was NOT the reason I went to him. His business office then stated my insurance company did not pay for the claim and Mister Bennett sent me a bill for over $500.00.

I spoke to an arrogant nasty office manager who did nothing but scream and I wrote multiple letters to Bennett and the business office. Now Bennett wants to sue me for this $500.00. I wonder what else he is billing insurance companies for that are not requested? He can't even address his 'patients' by their correct first or last name, he misspelled both in a 'letter' to me.

I refuted the bill as permittedby law when a collection agency contacted me and I have no intention of spending good money on an attorney for this bogus incident. Just a warning to those in the area, Stephen Bennett is not to be trusted. Be wary of anything this 'quack' does.

I'm not going to waste a lot of my time on this response because very few of my replies get posted these days for some reason. I've been a patient of Dr. Bennett for four years and I'm very happy with him as my primary doctor. The bills I get from Sumner Medical Group for my part of the office visits always seem to be within a few dollars of matching my EOB's from Blue Cross Blue Shield. I've had some really bad doctors in my lifetime and feel lucky to be under his care.

Sue the Doc for Fraud

Look, if you have been defrauded by this doctor, file a fraud suit in small claims, that includes damage to your credit and deceptive trade. After you file the suit, then request production of documents and you could even depos him. Thats what I would do if you feel you were bogously charged. Then see how the Doc feels. Something to consider. good luck.
