My son got the phone Christmas of 2011.

By May it still looked almost new but it would not pick up service. Every once in a while it would catch a bar or two and all messages would come through but the majority of the time he had no service at all, no matter where we were. I checked the phone my self and we got my daughter the same phone at the same time and it didnt have great service but it had some signal most of the time. I called Straight Talks Foreign customer service.

After waiting on hold for ever and if you could understand them, they would take you through every step of resetting the phone over and over with no results, every time you called its the same thing. I explained that I bought
the extended warranty on the phone and need to get this fixed! You stay on the phone for hours and just get a run around. I went back to the local Wal-Mart where I bought the phone and had a manager stand with me through the whole process until I actually got someone on the phone and asked to speak to the Straight Talk manager. Now I had both managers on the phone together and the Straight Talk manager said he would ship out another phone and a return pre paid fed-ex packet to return the old phone. He even told me that if the other phone was not received the replacement phone would be deactivated. Give it 3-5 days.

Well on day 5 the return envelope comes but no phone. I call the next day and they tell me I have to send mine back 1st. So I follow the instructions to the letter and send it. I call every week to make sure they received it and yes it should
be processed in 3-5 days. They promised to hold the month of unlimited time I had bought but could never use and re apply it to the phone once I received it.

After another week, well its at another department it should have shipped I will send them an email to release it, give it 3-5 days. Another week it was a system error ok its fixed, give it 3-5 days after 12 weeks of this we decided we would never get this back.

My wife asked to just get a refund of the phone and the $50 we spent on the month of time we never got to use, they said ok, you will get a check in 3-5 days! I dropped all 4 of my straight talk phones and took my $200 a month to Vxxxxn. (((REDACTED)))

Just buy a brand new one, shove the old pos in the box, take your new receipt and get a refund.

Pretty easy.

As I said in the report, I went to Walmart and had the manager, he said after 30 days Straight Talk has to do it. As the manager told me Straight Talk is not a Walmart product, they only sell it like any other product. Even tho I bought the extended warranty it was up to Straight Talk to send me another. That's when I made the Walmart Manager stay with me while I call to talk to the Straight Talk Manager.
