I saw a job ad in Newsday, and applied for it.  I was told I was a perfect candidate and reported for training.   I was offered $40,000 a year, benefits and commissions.  I was thrilled! When I got there, I found out it was a total scam, being run on healthcare professionals, especially doctors.

Reading from a script, the salesperson tries to get the doctor, nurse or resp. therapist to "upgrade" from a "free" listing in their book "Greatest Doctors (etc.) of the World" and the IAHCP, a bogus organization with NO professional standing.  The "memberships" start at over $800.00 and the victim is kept on the phone until he finally buys something in this book and agrees to give $34.95 a month in dues to remain a member.  The ridiculous part is that the doctors don't even get a book. NO,  they have to buy that separately, at a cost of more hundreds of dollars.  The victims are contacted by mail or e-mail, advertising the "free" listing and then during the call are switched to the very expensive one.  There is no fraud, because they will give them the "free" listing if they don't buy, two sentences in the back of the book.

The thing that really upsets me is that there is no peer reviewed board or committee overseeing which doctors are "proposed" it's anybody.   Consumers are then directed to a website of these "Greatest Doctors" and have no idea that some of them are really very bad.  I saw the name of one in particular who operated on my daughter and did such a terrible job she needed another operation to correct the damage. He has mulitiple malpractice suits against him, and yet there he is touted as the "Greatest".  This is immoral and unethical.

I'm not saying all the doctors on the list are bad doctors, of course not, but it is not a professionally vetted site and is just part of the listing scam.

In addition, for those who are job seeking and sincere, this is a place where they offer you one thing to begin and then change it on you, telling you you aren't really suited for this particular job and  offering you another position in the company at  far less pay and no benefits.  Stay far away from these people.  You have to sell $3000 in order to make a $50.00 commission!  Rip off!

I almost took a job there till I looked up the main company and saw how many people complained about thier sister company.....I havn't seen any other complaints about the nurses/doctors business but the office seemed kind of shady. Certainly not the type im used to. Slightly run down dingy.

I met with the owner and seemed to a down to earth guy. As far as the sales director, kind of young and made it her business to let you know she's in charge.
