mark Conner sold me a boat in early 2009 after I returned from OIF.  I am a disabled veteran wounded in the war, later underwent surgeries.  I wanted a boat to share with my family for weekend fun.  I told Conner I didnt like the trailer he was selling me, he said that is the trailer you are getting, more on that.  The VERY next day, I put the boat in the water (I dont live on the west coast of Florida)  the engine blew.  I contacted Stewart my salesman.  They told me to take the boat to my local Johnson dealer for an estimate.  Suncoast gave me the name. When the engine blew I had my family on board, and had to call Sea Tow, another $400.00.  The Johnson dealer said it would cost $6000.00 to repair the engine.  I contacted Mark Conner he said BS and cursed me.  I contacted my bank and told them do not pay Suncoast they sold me a bad lemon.  The local dealer ran the engine and found that it had several problems in the past, Conner never told me that or I would walked.  The bank and Suncoast decided to send the boat back to Suncoast so Conner could look at it.  he did. his first quote was a whopping $10,000, plus charge me $650.00 for a guy to pull the boat over there in a beat up van.  I told the bank no d**n way.   The bank dealt with Conner and agreed $7600.00..........I reworked my loan, mark Conner was paid another $7600.00 to rebuild the bad engine.  Jump ahead, I called and called for over a year, he never did the work.  Then I called a new person working there on a weekend, he said no work was done on the boat, plus the trailer was broke in half.  This crap has been going on from 2009 to present.  I am glad I found out what happened to mark Conner and company.

When they pulled the boat back to St pete, the trailer I was sold broke in half.........my insurance company was willing to pay another $3000.00 for a new trailer.  I called Conner for months, he refused to answer my calls, so I started emailing him.  he answered them.  I have every one of them.  I also contacted the BBB.  They couldnt do anything, Conner wasnt a member.  I contacted the States Attorney general, they said Get a lawyer...........I couldnt afford or get one.........I have a friend that lives over there.  In or Around December 2010 I think it was, after I gave up on this, I asked him to go there and see if my boat was there..............he reported to me it wasnt.  My insurance carrier reported that when he went to look at the trailer months earlier the boat was in the far back, no work on the boat at all.  SO  I am out $24,000, my credit is ruined, and I have NO BOAT.  let me add that my wife never signed any contract at all, which would also be come a contention thru Suncoast.  I hope thru all this, thru their tax evasion and stealing boats and selling them (probably what happened to mine) they get their due.  You dont treat people like this  and get away with it.  I am not done fighting.  I am glad I found this web site!
