I answered my door to a woman (Jen Meyers) claiming that she had just married and her husband was shipped to Iraq the day after, she was selling magazine subscriptions to win a trip for their honeymoon, would I be willing to help?

This was March 15,2008. My granddaughter was with me and asked if she could get the Jack and Jill magazine. I am disabled and cannot see very well, so I had many questions to clarify what I was doing. I asked about the magazine ( big, thick issue with lots of stories, puzzles and games, 3-4 week delivery time, $16 a year, two year subscription, she will just love it)

OK. $16 per year for subscription, apparently $6 per year of subscription toward her "trip".

My total bill came to $50, which I wrote a check for . The check cleared my bank apx. 10 days later. About two months later I started calling Sunshine subscription agency. Their bottom line was that it could take "up to" 120 days, and they are not responsible for what the sales people say... they are not agents or employees of this company.

I waited the 120 days and called back. I also sent an E-mail (don't bother, they don't respond). Now I was being told to wait until the end of the month and they would contact the publisher and send me a postcard with information. When I said I wanted my money that they had for 4 months now, she said we would have to wait until the end of the month and hear from the publisher.

Lo and behold, two weeks later I recieve a postcard saying my subscription would start with the Aug/Sept issue (so 6 times a year) and would expire with the Aug/Sept issue of next year ( so 1 year subscription). Liars and thieves form the very beginning. Shame on you Sunshine Subscription agency, and shame on you salesmen not associated with or agents of. Funny how if you look on your website you talk about extensive training and great money making opportunities.

I actually recieved the Aug/Sept issue yesterday. It's quite its own little rip-off. If I saw it in a store I would not purchase the flimsy, little waste of 10 sheets of paper. And $50 for six issues? Shame on me.
