Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

Perhaps the owner/attendant was once a nuclear engineer, camel jockey, or an oil sheikh in another country (or more likely the spoiled son of someone that smart and hardworking), but here in America he just runs a cash register. In fact, he doesn't "run" it but moves to it as slowly as possible and cheats people whenever possible.

In the evening when I went up to the counter to buy an ice tea, he had stopped talking to a younger male employee, yet he hung out by the old dry fried chicken area of the counter (wisely placed near the bathroom door), and wouldn't ring up my item. All was silent while I stood at the counter. I stood there and asked if he worked at the store (maybe he was only watching the front as a favor for the guy who had just went into the restroom?).  He slowly walked over and rang up my ice tea. It came to $1.09.  The amount clearly showed on the blue/green LED display of the register.

I didn't have change so I tried to use a credit card. He refused it unless I paid for over $10 or so. I explained I had no change, and tendered a $20 bill. He then rang up the item and charged me an additional 10 cents PLUS he didn't provide a receipt (but I saw the blue numbers on the register reflected an extra 10 cents had been added to the charge).

People make mistakes and normally, I might let this go or just ask for my receipt and proper change. But I'm now writing yelp because I realize that over a year ago this same guy had done the same thing to me, but that time I had called him out on it and he provided a receipt and gave me the dime back and argued that it was just a mistake on his part! Imagine my surprise when he did it again. This time I didn't ask for my dime or receipt back: instead I'm writing here.

If you live nearby its easy to frequent this place because it's convenient. Plus, the gas is usually a few pennies cheaper than the nearby Chevron station but is is it full strength? Based on cheating me out of a dime, who knows what the owner / worker (or their employees) will stoop to doing. Every store has a few fans, but I will never give this one a chance again. If you go, expect slow service and to ask for your receipt and count your change!
