Mississauga,#2UPDATE EX-employee responds
Wed, May 05, 2010
Although the person who made the initial complaint and the person who wrote about her experience on an "interview" both had some good points about the people who work at SCF(and I agree with them in some regards), I have to say the company itself is a good company. The president of the company is a very big hearted man and you can tell when he does the morning meetings that his heart is really into what he is doing for charities!!
However, I myself was taken advantage of by people in the company. I am a very hard worker, despite having major health problems. I came into work everyday on time, if not early for 6 days a week to work my butt off doing a job I was PETRIFIED of doing(going door to door is not a top job prospect for someone who is very introvert)
I was with the company for 3 months.. for the last half of that time I was very sick but still came to work so I could do my job and not let my team down. It was then I started slowing down with "pieces" (sign-ups per day... you have to have one a day to stay active) But I kept pushing along until I HAD to take a day off to recover and get somewhat better. I told my boss and felt like I was some awful employee by his reaction. Like it wasn't obvious why I had to stay home.
After a few weeks of not being able to keep up to quota however, I was let go... not by the man who SHOULD have told me but by another team member. I soon found out after leaving that this was a frequent occurrence where someone would have to be fired and instead of doing it himself the manager would tell someone else to do it(he once told me to tell someone on the team they had to be let go.. I did not want to do it)
Again, I will say the company itself is a very good company, it's just some of the people you have to watch out for. They talk about each other behind each others backs constantly and it's a wonder they keep people there as long as they do.

I have an 18 year old daughter who has been called for her 2nd interview. So I did some digging. I found something. You can read it here - http://www.gtachatterbox.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=17521&p=160040&hilit=suxess#p160040 Apparently, they take you for a ride to a remote town, make you go door-to-door, not pay you and leave you in the middle of nowhere, make you find your own way back home. In other words, in the pretext of interview they get you to do free work.

Ever heard of the company called Suxess Consulting? Me neither, until the other day when they wanted to interview me. So I went in and waited 30 minutes for a 5 minute DOUBLE "pre-liminary" interview (2 people at the same time). Why I decided to go for the second interview was beyond me, I was in the area, nothing else set up fot the day. Because they didn't really answer any questions in the first interview, but instead, shuffle you out for the next 2 people at every 10 minute intervals. (Or less) So after waiting almost another 30 minutes along with 3 others for this "second interview" while we heard what sounded like a party. While the man who interviewed me yesterday walked in and out of his office and back into the party room. And also text on his phone standing at the receptions desk. When asked what they meant by "interests," the receptions replied with, "Oh, I probably put something like drinking." Hmmm. After the long wait, we were called into a closed office one at a time, and then I was called and introduced to a very young man with a nice smile. They told me he would be the one to answer all my questions. I thought that's kind of weird, I'm here for an interview with a kid? So I start asking questions and they all began heading outside to their parked cars. Come to find out, they were going to show us what they do. OKay....Hmmm, why didn't someone tell me that. Okay, fine. I'll watch for a few minutes, but then I want to talk to someone more knowledgable and has been with the company more than 2 months. Because I have no idea what's going on here. After they all beat around the bush about my questions, and time was ticking on, I still didn't quite know what we were doing. So I began to be MORE DIRECT. "when will i get to talk to management?" "When will they be meeting up with us?" "Where are we going?" "And when are you taking me back?" Come to find out after more driving that we were meeting the team leader in Milton, 2 hours later, to go eat someone for a bit and then go door-to-door until 8pm. (My interview was scheduled for 2pm) So now I'm being exploited! But then I remembered myself cracking a joke about having to have my lawer present when signing a paper that says they aren't paying me. 'Why would they pay me for an interview', I thought. Hmmm. So after riding in a car with some very naive and young men, I felt very out of place about it, and only found out the truth once there. I was beyond mad, because I was standing there in a business suit and high heeled boots, in a city I've never been, with people I don't know, who, for the most part are just children, in the cold wind and I've been gone for 3 hours now. I called my boyfriend. He was freaking out. The Team leader wasn't even talking about work, in fact, he was joking around with the other children who felt more at play than work. I wanted answers. I told him straight: I was lied to, and look where I am. Do people actually go along with this? What about those other 3 people? Do you mean to tell me all you others have been through this too? You were okay with it???? And after being lied to, you still decided to "work" for them, even though you bummed smokes off me the whole time? For those who work there, HOW can they be that stupid? I can't believe I fell into the prey of those exploiting people, but nonetheless, only end up with chidren "working" for them. What's even worse, they say they're working wit raise money for SICK KIDS HOSPITAL! Sick kids will hear from me. It's a good thing they decided to take me all the way back to Mississauga, because I wasn't going to follow them all evening, and if I was just being left there to get home on my own, I think I would've called the police. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME WITH Suxess Consulting. You shouldn't be donating money to Sick kids to support these deceitful people. Terrible business, very unprofessional. The interview was at 2pm, I got home at 730pm, and ended up not even going door-to-door. Waste if time. Couldn't believe there were even other employees who decided to work for them. Why I did in the first place. NO idea what I was thinking. I guess I was getting desperate for work. But I got an interview this Monday, so this time I follow my instinct, and do LOOOTS of research before I go. :)

Apparently they would not hire this person even though her child has aspergers. Hate to tell you but, it is not a qualification, being clear, concise, and to the point might be though.

I am totally confused by the above report! It in no way states exactly how they were ripped off by Suxess Consulting. Having been an employee for 6 months I have nothing but good things to say about this organization as they work with various non-profits that do fundraising on behalf of various charitable organizations. They pay by the hour (non-commission) and do not practice aggressive sales tactics. They are even registered with Imagine Canada http://www.imaginecanada.ca/ a charitable watchdog! Can you please be more specific in terms of the your reasons for defaming a great company?
