Ashley, most of the local stores are a joke and only want to sell you a new phone. They claim that because you are on pre-pay, that you have to pay for it yourself. I went through similar experiences with them in January. My phone would turn on but as soon as I tried to dial would shut off. To make a long story short I went to two tmobiles to get it tested and they both just looked at my phone and told me I needed a new one-that my phone "was too old". I asked one guy what do you mean by that- are you saying that these phones are designed to go bad every so often? He replied "well that is the nature of the beast". I did get ahold on one "nice" tmobile store with knowledgeable people who finally did offer to test my phone for me and ultimately give me one if mine was bad. They also told me these other places were a joke . Turns out I did some charging of the batteries with an aftermarket battery charger and now my phone works fine. Nice of Tmobile to tell me I needed a new phone though.
