A business partnership was formed by three individuals with the intent of sharing the proceeds of the business. Since I knew Tarik Saadetdin, the managing member for 24 years, I trusted him implicitly and so did the other partner with my confirmation as to his integrity. Saadetdin had the company's checkbook which I approved of. Funds were being distributed from an overseas NGO as promoted by the Finnish government to attract Finnish businesses to sell their products and services to foreign markets. I worked in the Miami area selling to cruise ship companies utilizing Finnish labor and materials to complete refurbishment of cruise lines cruise ships. Saadetdin, through concealment, scheme, trick and manipulation (don't forget the 24 year relationship) kept the majority of the approximately $16,500 monthly revenue, sharing a paltry $2,500 with me. He stated that we only received $7,500/month but that in the future, the possibility of commissions would be shared equally.  He knew all along that there would be no commissions, just as he knew he was also using a non Finnish company that he also promoted, an Estonian company titled Evo Design.

The other business partner received no income from the venture, allowing Saadetdin to borrow the proceeds which would be paid back at a later date. Saadetdin saw the opportunity to divest both of us from receiving our fair share of the revenue stream because we allowed him to hold all the cards in this venture. Hindsight is 20/20 they say but unfortunately the real truth about this individual and his shady practices have come to light with great cost to me personally.

After numerous relationships in and out of business with Saadetdin I never had a problem but he was just biding his time for a chance to pounce on an unsuspecting mark when there was enough in it for him.

I hope the old adage comes to pass "what goes around..." or the Finnish equivalent "se, mikä menee ylös, tulee myös alas".
