TD Waterhouse - iPod promotion Ripoff never delivered iPod no customer service record Jersey City New Jersey
In November 2005 TD Waterhouse advertised the following promotion: Just open a new TD Waterhouse brokerage account, deposit $50,000 or more, and you'll receive a 4GB iPod nano (After examining the TD Waterhouse features I felt that I would like them better than my current Schwab account so I transferred a hundred thousand dollars+ from Schwab to TD Waterhouse and took advantage of the promotion in the process.
It has been five months already and I have not received it. I have called seven times (perhaps I do have too much free time) and each time the same thing happensThe Rep tells me that he/she will check on it and get back to me. Each subsequent results in the Rep having no record of my previous call and having to start a new case. They often blame the issue on this never ending merger with AmeriTrade.
Today's call alerted me to the fact that TD Waterhouse had no record of any of my calls. Even the one's that were not related to the iPod! I have checked blogs on this subject and have learned that I am one of many in this situation.
Frankly, I couldn't care less about the iPod. It's the fact that this company can not be trusted to follow through on their promises and can not be relied upon for their system's integrity.
