Hi, Lorrie I have to say I am so sorry as to what happend to you. No, I do not work for Tempe Dodge or any other car dealer. I am an Ex-car salesman that exposes what car dealers do to car buyers. One might say I have been trained by some of the best on how to rip off car buyers. Because I am not into ripping off people, I no longer sell cars. Let's first chat here about credit. I have to ask you did Tempe Dodge talk to you about your credit in great detail? I bet Not. Car dealers have a big advantage over consumer because they can review a special credit report on you that you have no access to. This special credit report that they have access to, reveals to them what is called your "Fair Isaac Score" My Fair Isaac Score is 780 so I know the true buying power of my credit. I also know how to increase my Fair Isaac Score because I understand how it all works. I am willing to bet that Tempe Dodge did not show or tell you your "Fair Isaac Score" No car dealer wants a car buyer to know the true buying power of their credit. Let me tell you what I was trained to do to car buyers. Let's say you have a Isaac score of say 700. I would say to you. "Do you remember taking a test in school and you got a 70% on a test ? We all know a 70% is a failing grade. Well your credit shows us that you have a Fair Isaac Score of 700. So you have a 70% credit rating. Not the best mam, So I can't get you the best interest rate. I might be able to get you somewhere between 11.5 and 13.5. Do you understand your options are limited because of your credit's past! Then I would get you to sign a car buying contract at say 13.5% maybe throw you a bone and give you 11.5%. After you sign all of the needed papers and go home. I would get you approved for 8% and scoop the difference. Then I would have the finance company send the dealer a fat check for the difference between what you signed and what I got you approved for. If you are thinking of refinancing your home the same thing can and will happen to yo. In the auto industy this is sometimes called "POINT PACKING" It is real easy for a car dealer to make you think that you do not have the best credit rating if you do not understand how your credit is TRULLY rated by the credit industry. All general managers at all car dealers inform their finace managers to get you to sign the highest interest rate possible and then get you approved for the lowest rate possibe and SCOOP THE DIFFERENCE! If you remember, I am willing to bet that Tempe Dodge's Finance manager was SO NICE when you were sign all of their documentation. They have to be SO NICE to you beacuse they want you to like them while they are BENDING YOU OVER! Most car dealers motto is, sales people and finance managers both can go so much DEEPER if the car buyer thinks that the dealer's sales staff are nice to the car buyers. Just think of the poor suckers that go to the same car dealer over and over again because they like the dealer's sales staff. You can bet they are getting bent over everytime they go back. If you are in "your comfort zone" meaning you like everybody at the dealership, they can go deeper into your pocket for a bigger commision. It is easy in the auto industry to bend over car buyers if the deception is properly presented. I urge all car buyers to call 1-800-682-7654 and ask Experial/TRW why you can't have a copy of a credit report that reveals to you your "FAIR ISAAC SCORE with your "Profile Summary" I Feel that Experian/TRWs excuse will be a FAT LIE. The credit industry does not want you to know your credit's true buying power so banks, car dealers, mortgage brokers and credit unions Yes I said Credit unions also can "BEND YOU OVER with a higher interst loan rate. So don't be so fast to think what you signed for is what you are approved for. Foot note: Don't ever let a car dealer or any finance company talk to you about "Equifax" or "Trans UNION" type of credit report. Most all lenders and I mean all, want to see your "FAIR ISAAC SCORE" Signed The Great Thorn Screw the car dealer before they screw you!

If you would have read my response I did not purchase the caravan and no matter what type of vehicle you purchase you are always going to be upside down unless you put down a BIG $$$$ down payment. I ended up buying a 2002 chevy venture fully load from Brown and Brown Chevy in Mesa. Jennifer in the intenet department was very help full. I got the van wholesale value.

Holy cow! You were in the process of obligating yourselves to pay $34,764 ($462. X 72 + $1,500)for a 'stock model' Caravan? You'd REALLY be "upside down" in THAT vehicle for the next five years. You'd be married to it. Better step back and look at the BIG picture. Adolph
