Hello Readers.. I am going to reveal something about the restuarent, here specifically I am talking about T.G.I Friday's, located by the falls, In Miami, FL 33176. That maybe not all of you have experienced something like that but I am sure some of you. Depending on the day of the week, time, situation, condition, people, events etc etc. Its just that nick of time when you get ripped off and your whole day and happy moments are ruined.

I've been living in Atlanta, GA for the last five years and been a great customer of T.G.I. Fridays at Pleasant Hill Road, Lawrenceville, GA 30044. I moved to Florida three months back and found the closest T.G.I Friday's is next to me by the Falls Shopping Center...on SW 136 Street and US1.

I was so happy to find a place, where I always felt happy with my friends, whether it comes to drinks or dinner. But recently here in Miami I am sorry to state T.G.I Friday's by the Falls is completely different then other states or cities, just because of few T.G.I Employees. Not all the employees but some of the employees of T.G.I Friday's.

The incident took place approximately 11 PM, September 30th 2009, Yes I am filing the same day and time. Went to T.G.I Friday's by the Falls Shopping Center, Address is

MIAMI FALLS, FL
8888 SW 136TH ST
MIAMI, FL 33176

(305) 255-1480

Ordered food and drinks.... got some friends there too... paid the first bill when it was presented to me in cash... Remember not credit card. (There is no evidence when you pay in cash, there is no duplicate receipt for you)

Had another drink and ordered the last bill for the last drink and food. There were two servers, young lady and a guy. I don't know what they thought of, or what they plan.. I can feel and sense that, very obvious and I can see the grin.. got the bill of the previoius and the latest bill altogether.

I insisted the previous bill was paid in full, why? because I knew I had only 100 Dollars. The Bartender went back talked to the lady, came back to me and said "NO sir you paid only partial pymt of the previous bill" I have to pay half of the previous bill and the subsequent bill.  (Folks, how is it possible you pay partial payment of the bill, did any one ever paid partial payment in restaurent, if yes then I confess I am wrong, very wrong) I knew what is going on.. and what both the bartenders are planning to share the xtra money. Upon realizing they both came to me and apologize the situation and ask for only the last bill.

I was in upset mood and its obvious you can sense and feel that someone is trying to rip you off. We left the restaurent after paying the last bill but the memory is still alive in our minds.

Caution: Attention Customers: Please pay thru C.Cards (In which you get the duplicate receipt) or if Cash the you should have some sort of evidence. Otherwise, you will be proved wrong infront of the Law, if the case presented to the court, why, you can be labelled as drunk, forgotton to pay, were too busy with friends, left without paying etc etc.

Note: I learned something new here in Miami, Florida by the Falls shopping Center, and I want all of you to know if this could happen to me then ofcourse it can happen to you too.

I decided not to go to the T.G.I Friday's just because of their attractive prices but rather to some principled dinning place where the employees are not taking advantage of you. I think that is more safer then to go to cheaper places. Where the risk is high and you might have to face humiliation.

Bobby, I'm afraid that you must have misunderstood the situation. I have been going to this very same TGI Friday's for about 20 years. Always, I found the staff friendly, courteous and honest. Not once was I ever mistreated, whether it was when I was in middle school dining with my friends before a movie, dating in high school, or getting together for drinks as an adult. It would have been easy for them to take advantage of middle schoolers, a high school guy on a date not wanting to look cheap, or a party of inebriated people. But it never happened. Not once.

I am sure you must have misunderstood something. One of my only complaints about this particular location is their tendency to bend over backwards for anybody and everybody. I've had some meals ruined due to overly-boisterous teenagers where the staff should have quieted them down and kicked them out, but instead didn't want to intrude on their dining experience.

Ashley, I appreciate your comments and shedding some light and suggestions on the above subject. I completely understand every coin has its two sides, every story has its angles/perceptive. I can conceive the whole incident better then you because I have experienced the fact, It is Not fabricated. With due respect, Ashley,  I am not mentally retarded. I could have approached the Manager or the corporate office, but that is not my intention. My intention is public safety and awareness. No ill or malicios intent.  TGI Fridays have installed cameras, especially in the bar area,  the management can easily retrieve the whole incident and the cash register.  I guess what I am trying to explain here is there is a huge difference between "Confustion" and "Being Greedy".  Remember there are bad customers and there are good customers likewise there are bad servers and good servers. Nothing can be expressed Perfect. We dont live in the perfect world. But, I will keep your advise of "Cash Receipt" and I thank you for being so candid.  Regds.... Bobby.

So you got the bill straightened out and you only paid what you should have? They didn't rip you off. It sounds to me like there was some confusion over your bill. Why do you assume malicious intent? You also speak of 2 servers. Its not unusual in a resturaunt to get a bill confused with multiple servers involved.

I would chalk it up as a mistake and move on. If you can cite this happening at that location multiple times then you might be on to something. Why didn't you get a receipt after your first bill? Even when I pay cash at resturaunts I always get a receipt.
