The Consumer Law Center I have been ripped off by the CLC Coral Springs Florida
Several months ago I wrote a report in here stating how far along my case was with these people at the Consumer Law Center. After finally being able to speak to one of their "reps" in July 2008 (one year after I started on the program) I was told they were "negotiating" with my creditors. The rep reassured me that they were doing everything possible to settle my debt with three of my creditors and that it was very possible everything would be done at 40 cts. on the dollar. During all this time (Since June 2007 to the present) I have yet to receive any information as to what exactly is being negotiated and if any monies had been disbursed to any of the creditors.
Now I find out, purely by accident, that theState Attorney's office is involved, the CLC is out of business and I'mleft in the lurch, having to file a Proof of Claim Form to be sent to the receiver... you know where that is going to get me -- nowhere. At this point I have put a stop payment to the automatic monthly deduction of 187.00 - BUT, now it has been 3 days since I discovered all this bologney going on and cannot get anybody to give me a copy of my file. I need to know where I stand as far as my debt is concerned. After being almost 4,000. in the hole I might still owe my original amount to the creditors.... that is b.s.! I am 74 years old, retired, on a fixed income and could barely make ends meet before all this. I am worse now than I was a year and a half ago. I hope these unscrupulous crooks get punished. I don't know what else to do, at least to get some of my money back so I can deal with my creditors directly. If anybody reads this and has any suggestions, please email me personally at (((ROR REDACTED))) -- I need help. I can't afford a lawyer.
