Hello, my name is Kimberly DiPirro, wife of Austen DiPirro, and owner of "THE Fit Factory". For the past few months we have dealt with this dilemma. There is an on-line company called, "Fit Factory". We have received countless phone calls from people who have received charges to their credit/debit cards. These people are confused and think our company, THE Fit Factory, is responsible for these transactions... Our company has three locations in the Central Valley of California. We solely do retail sales from our stores- we don't currently do on-line sales or do sales over the phone. When a customer makes a purchase with our company, they've had to visit one of our three locations. When the phone calls and complaints started to come in, I noticed that these folks were typically out of state and all were concerned about charges in the same dollar amount. I did research on-line and found the company www.fitfactory.com . I contacted the toll-free number for their billing department, 1-866-407-1022, and spoke to a customer service representative. The woman confirmed that they charge a monthly fee for their on-line program. Apparently when you buy one of their products for fat-loss, you have a trial period to cancel your membership. If you do not cancel your membership, then you are locked in to their program and charged monthly. To date, we have spoken to over 100 people in regards to these credit card charges. This has become very frustrating and time consuming. We are a small mom and pop business. We have a GREAT rapport with all of our customers and are very liked in our communities. We've NEVER had a complaint about how we run our business. We're honest, fair, and just. We take pride in the service we provide to each and every one of our loyal customers. We have contacted www.fitfactory.com several times in regards to this issue. A Manager with the company, by the name of Braden, is currently trying to come up with a solution. He stated information regarding the trial period and membership program is located on their web-site. I told him that it can't just be a coincidence that this many of their customers could be confused about their membership program when purchasing their product... They need to modify their web-site to better explain to their customers their terms and conditions. Please, for any further complaints in regards to these charges, contact www.fitfactory.com at 1-866-407-1022. For future reference, Jan from Melbourne, Florida, and for anyone else-- if you have an issue with a company, please seek for proper information and understanding before you blindly file a complaint for a company who is not at fault-- such as ours!! If you would like to contact me for additional information, please e-mail me at [email protected]. Thank you for reading, Kimberly DiPirro The Fit Factory
