In August, 2008 I received a letter stating my poem was semi-finalist in their International Open Poetry Contest. They said my poem would automatically be entered into the final competition held in August 2008 and said I had an excellent chance of winning a cash prize.

To celebrate the unique talent that I displayed. They said they would also wish to publish my poem on its own page in one of the most highly regarded collections of poetry they had ever published. It was to be published in the "Immortal Verses" publication. I had no obligation to purchase because I was a semi-finalist and had unique talent and artistic vision.

Then they said, of course many people do wish to acquire a book that features their poetic artistry. In this case they welcomed my order. They went on about a satisfaction guarantee and to see the enclosed material for special information to reserve a copy of "Immortal Verses" with a small deposit.

They also presented me with an Editor's Choice Award, where they personally select a few poems that they believe would have a wonderfully expresive quality if read by a professional reader and then they invited me to become one of the 33 poets whose artistry would be featured on a 3 album CD.

The thing that made me think they were ligitimate was they congradulated me and said they felt I had a special talent and looked forward to the publication of my poem in Immortal Verses. This gave me the idea that it would be published in all of the (Immortal Verses) publications.

They gave me the impression that they were really publishing my poem even if I did not purchase the book. At that time they had a working phone number and a person to talk to, but now the number is not working. I ordered a book and a plaque with my poem. The title of my poem was changed to "Love's Blueprint" instead of (Loves'S Blueprint). It was done without my permission and it was published in "Collected Whispers" and not (Immortal Verses).

After conversing with other poets, it appears that submitted poems are published once in the book each poet orders. Mine was on the first page. I was told before that International Library of Poetry is a scam, but I was willing to give them a chance because it really sounded like my poem would be in all of the "Collected Whisper" books that were published.

I wonder if my poem "My Best Friend" was in published in (In Dawn's Shadow) a book published in 2001 by the International Library of Poetry. How can they guarantee a the quality of their material without a working number. They need to be stopped and pay me for misrepresenting my poem.
