We used Jeremy Anderson to kickoff bullying prevention at our school. This was a costly program, anything but free, but we were assured we could use our Title I funds. We had a disagreement with what would actually be presented. It needed to be by an accredited educator and it needed to have evidence-based methods. This was neither.
The program Jeremy Anderson was terrible at our school. The kids were absolutely not involved at all. The crew was late showing up. And we could actually see Jeremy Anderson engaging in inappropriate behavior while on school grounds.
This was the first school in our district. He then proceeded to go to other schools. Same behavior. After the second day, we had enough and asked Jeremy Anderson to leave. We postponed activities with other school sites for the remaining three days.
I then get a call from Ebony Anderson, with the Jeremy Anderson Group, saying they are going to send an invoice to our school district as a fine for canceling the contract! I said we would pay for the services, even for the days Jeremy Anderson didn't perform but felt it was unfair to pay for the fine. She then threatens to take me to court. I said we should hang up. Then I had our district lawyer draft a letter.
We were deeply dissatisfied with the show. Over time, other people will realize this and hopefully, you won't make the same mistake as our school site and district made.
I feel that this organization is a scam. Jeremy Anderson is dishonest. He is not an educator. And he is still wrestling with his emotions which makes his organization unprofessional. And we are still waiting for our follow up activities and lesson plans.
