First NLC - The Lending Center lied, cheated, paid for appraisal, then said I needed more time ripoff Coon Rapids Minnesota

We were contacted by this company which another name is certainly ripoff inc., about refinancing our mortgage. Since we have had the unpleasant experience with Homecomings Financial, which is also on this web site, we thought surely this could not happen again. They were very sympathetic and advised us that this would be no problem at all even though we are in the 38th month of a chapter 13.

They assured us they would do the loan at 70% and there would be enough to pay off the court which will be paid off in less than 60 days anyway. They sent out an appraiser to the tune of $400 which I was told would be refunded when the loan closed, and again was assured this was no problem.

Then all of a sudden because the stock market is dropping due to credit problems with the banks, they cannot get us approved. Then yesterday I get a letter telling me more information was needed in 10 days or they would withdraw my application. This is a new one.

This company is surely a sister to Homecomings. Don't be deceived. Don't pay for an apprasial. It cannot be used anywhere else. By the way a lot of corespondence comes from Anaheim CA but of course there is no phone number only letters. Check out any company that says they can help you purchase, refinance etc. I wish I had.

I have been in the Mortgage Industry for 8 years. First NlC was The Best Company I have ever worked for. There are some bad apples and we had to prune them oftem. I was an Account Manager that processed the loans for the Underwriter (The Final Yes/No Person). I saw some documents that were not acceptable a.k.a Fraud. We kicked them all out! Re: appraisals, That is the responsibility of the owner of the property if the Underwriter does not like the appraisal that is the Underwriter's perogrative because it's his or her but if the loan defaults later, before they have a chance to sell it.! This Company gave surprise bonuses to every employee when we hit our quotas, the best christmas parties, the best benefits! Im sorry if you had a bad experiance, but the only reason why I left was because of a new born baby. Mr. Henschal and his son ran a wonder company, I had the best supervisors and team leaders. This company does not deserve that reputation!
