I ordered a logo from Theous Corporation one month ago,(a $365 order) and received three samples two weeks after placing the order. The company promises One-on-One Consultation with the designer, but it does not follow through with this promise. They provided a small questionnaire for customers to fill out, but it does not ask nearly enough information to get a good idea what the logo should look like. The company does not communicate with customers in any way but email, and even then it takes personnel some time to answer.

I've called the company on numerous occasions, only to be told that the person that I am calling for is not there and that I cannot leave a message, to call back. Theous also promises a No Gimmick Guarantee, and that they will never charge any more money after the order is processed. I received an email two days after placing my order asking for more money ($45) to submit the copyright.

I received one round, of three samples, from Theous on September 12th, 2006. They were nothing like what I specified, and were of an amateur quality. Three separate times, I tried to email the contact person that had been specified to me initially, to express my opinion on the samples. I then tried to contact that person (Winnie Kramer) at Theous, only to be told that she is no longer with the company. Theous never contacted me with this information. Last night, I received an email from the new project manager (Zoe Geller). It contained my email address along with numerous other clients.

I decided to order from Theous based on their good rating of an "A" from the Better Business Bureau. Only to find that the rating (and the link) they provide is inaccurate, as well. Theous Corporation has received a "D" rating from the BBB, and the BBB reports that they have requested that Theous remove their logo and false link, but they have not. This is how people like me ended up ordering from them.

I requested a full refund today, and have received two emails from employess asking me to give the company a second chance. It has been a month, and I just want a refund. I'm posting this in hopes that the company sees that I am serious about my displeasure.

I have evidence from the 13 emails that I have received from various employees of Theous, Winnie Kramer, Zoe Geller, Cha, and Crom . I also have 9 emails from people that were unhappy with Theous for the same reasons that I am, their email addresses were included in the mass email that a Theous employee (Zoe Geller) sent out. When I complained about this email, and requested the refund- another employee (Crom) emailed me back and stated that it was a vindicative client trying to ruin their good name. Then, the Theous employee (Zoe Geller) that sent the mass email in the first place sent me a message acknowleding that she sent the email (violating the privacy of many clients).

I will update any action (negative or positive) that is taken by the company.

I was refunded $340.00 (of the $365.00 that I paid) on October 4th from Theous. After I had initially said that I would give them the benefit of the doubt, they then started ignoring me again and not answering emails and such. I called the customer service number provided and asked to speak with Zoe Gellar regarding my account, and the man that answered the phone told me to call this other number- because he was expecting a phone call! Very unprofessional. Avoid this company at all costs! Also, to warn others that attempt to do research on this company. Don't believe all of the good reviews that you read, and certainly do not believe the fake BBB report that they set up. Theous has a "F" rating with the BBB, and not the "A" that Theous has on their website. Just be very careful!

After sending emails back and forth with Zoe Geller, the new logo project manager- my company has decided to stay with Theous. I asked many questions, that were answered concisely, instead of being vague. I also received my logo samples, and the samples were quite good. So far, I am happy with the steps Zoe Geller has taken to correct my complaints. I want my rip off report to reflect that although I had some initial problems, I now have someone at Theous that makes an effort to provide good customer service. I will update again when the order is received in full.

I received an email with more logo samples from Theous, last night. They were of more professional quality. If Theous can provide me with answers to the questions that I ask, and address the concerns that I have- I might consider continuing to do business with them. If all of the parties involved from Theous can ensure customer satisfaction without me having to constantly email them for account updates, I would not feel like I am being taken advantage of. I emailed the project manager back, and let her know the questions that I need answers to. Hopefully, she responds positively and this experience will turn out better than it has so far.

I received two more emails from Zoe Geller tonight. The first email stated that she is very sorry, and that it was a bad call on her part to include client email addresses for the email. I replied that I wanted a refund, and no longer wished to do business with Theous. The employees that I have dealt with fail to realize that it wasn't including my email address on a mass email that made me lose confidence in their abilities. It is that they have taken a month to even get the correct samples started, they do not answer questions that are phrased directly to them and are very vague with any information what so ever. As I said before, I will continue to update this thread with any information that I receive. It is up to Theous to make the outcome favorable. I've read other reports where an employee of Theous has reprimanded the poster for making unfavorable comments about the company, but I have evidence of every email that I have received from Theous. Being that my primary form of contact with this company has been by email, that is my proof. Zoe Geller informed me that she was forwarding the matter to the sales department, so I intend to know something soon.
