Thinkvacuum's website is so full of deceiving statements that I'm surprised they are still in business.
First, they claim that they have 100% customer feedback.
Second, they have a page called "the truth about cyclonic" that is not true at all. The page says that cyclonic central vacuums warranty does not cover motor failure due to dirt getting in the fan blades. I have contacted a manufacturer myself and they said that the warranty DOES cover motor failure because of dirt getting in the fan blades. I must add that motor failures do not happen as often as thinkvacuums claims.
They also say how cyclonic central vacuums cannot prevent the growth of mold and bacteria. But let's think about this: what does bacteria and mold need to grow? Water. But central vacuums should not sweep up water to prevent electrocution. So how can mold and bacteria grow? The answer is they can't. I have seen many cyclonic systems and NONE of them were "growing" mold or bacteria (imagine that!).
Also, venting a central vacuum outside of the living area is the ONLY way to fully get rid of allergy dust. If the central vacuum is vented indoors, it's no different than an upright or canister vacuum. That's the beauty of central vacuums- they can be vented outdoors unlike any other type of vacuum.
Final note on this type of vacuum: I know of a cyclonic central vacuum where the low voltage wires got crossed in an unreachable spot and the power unit ran for days without air getting into the motor. This happened many times but the power unit NEVER caught fire, fell off the wall or anything, it just got warm. The motor finally died after several years of this. This is more proof that cyclonic central vacuums are not as awful as this website claims.
There are many other deceiving statements on this website that I could point out but just wanted to name the major ones. I have never before seen a central vacuum website that has tried to deceive people as much as this one. Thinkvacuums should be ashamed!

We at thinkvacuums.com have been a vacuum dealer and retailer online and locally for many years. We offer a large variety of central vacuums, including some brands that are cyclonic. We offer articles for our customers to review on our website and we provide our opinion on many different subjects in the central vacuum industry. We have not singled out any particular manufacturer by name to slander any product. We offer our opinion so the customer can make an educated decision after doing the proper research on selecting a central vacuum unit.
As professionals in the field of central vacuums we simply illustrated what we have experienced with cyclonic type vacuums. We apologize that we could not have had a friendly discussion with Robert about our opinions on cyclonic central vacuums, before we had a complaint made about an opinionated article on our website.
We feel that being reported for an opinion is not ripping any consumer off at all. We would love to resolve any issue Robert has with our article. To our knowledge we have never done business with Robert, but would love to extend an apology for anything that he found to be misleading or offensive. We have included a quote from our article clearly showing this is an opinion of our company and not in any way a case of bait and switch or collecting payment for a product or service and not providing said good. In conclusion we feel this is only an opinion and not a taking advantage of a consumer in any way, shape or form.

"We will be the first to admit that a bag less central vacuum system will lose performance as the canister fills up, but we will also agree with the fact that all systems will have a loss of performance over a period of time. It is our belief that semi-annual replacement of a paper bag is, by far, more efficient with less hassle than the maintenance required to prevent loss of performance and motor replacement costs on cyclonic vacuum systems. Our viewpoint on some true-cyclonic central vacuums sounds great in theory, but very few companies play the cyclonic filtration card. We find it very contradicting when we read through their instruction manuals. To us, it's a bunch of smoke and mirrors. We feel that hopefully this section will give you a bit more understanding on how not to be influenced or persuaded by gimmicky theories and false claims such as true-cyclonic action, no bags, no filters, never lose suction, etc."
