I ordered 8 tickets for Earth, Wind, and Fire in Section PIT Row BBB. I received my tickets after ordering them only to get moved to the back of the arena today (I have photo links further down to prove this). Today I received an email from Ticketmaster stating:

Hello DONALD, this is Ticketmaster Customer Service with an important alert for your order. Unfortunately, the tickets/seats that you ordered from Ticketmaster for the Saturday, June 6, 2009 performance of Earth, Wind & Fire scheduled at the Verizon Wireless Amph-ATL were put on sale inadvertently, allowing you to order tickets that were not supposed to have been released for sale.

We are currently holding replacement tickets for you in Section ORCH2, Row T Seat(s) 1-8.

Due to this error, your ticket order will be refunded in full back to the credit card used to make the purchase, and your tickets will be cancelled and not valid for entry. HOWEVER, before issuing you such a credit we would like to give you the opportunity to order additional tickets.

Please reply to this email on or before 12 noon Eastern time on Friday, April 24, 2009 and provide you will be given a return email or phone call with the opportunity to exchange your tickets for these additional tickets to the Saturday, June 6, 2009 performance of Earth, Wind & Fire scheduled at the Verizon Wireless Amph-ATL.

If you do not contact us by that date and time and/or we are not able to reach you by telephone on or before Friday, April 24, 2009, BY 12 NOON PACIFIC TIME, then we may not be able to sell you additional tickets to the Saturday, June 6, 2009 performance of Earth, Wind & Fire scheduled at the Verizon Wireless Amph-ATL.

Again, please note that the tickets that have already been sent to you have been cancelled and will not allow you to enter any event.

We regret that we were not able to provide you with the tickets you ordered. We really appreciate your business and hope you will give us the opportunity to better serve you in the future.

We've already reserved hotel and flight reservations because we did not want to pass up this opportunity to see Earth, Wind, and Fire this close, now they are trying to move us to the back of the arena.

My problem beyond the obvious is that 3 years ago when I inadvertantly bought tickets to the wrong event, they told me "All Sales Final" and refused to work with me or give me a refund. Now they claim to make an error, and they switch it up on me and inconvenience me and my group for their error.

I did some research online and they recently did the same error at a Phish show at Red Rocks in Morrison, CO, but they gave $50 to every person inconvenienced by their error. Why don't I get a $50 credit per ticket for this?

How can the government possibly let them get away with stuff like this? Heaven forbid if the Live Nation/Ticketmaster merger ever goes through, all of us fans will be screwed even worse.

Any help anyone can lend would be greatly appreciated.
