Ticketmaster.com - Entertainment Rewards Ticketmaster and Entertainment rewards SCAM Miami Florida
Ticketmaster.com shared my personal information including credit card number with Entertainment Rewards. Entertainment rewards has now been charging me $9.00 a month for a service I did not use nor did I know I had.
After speaking to various representatives and supervisors at both Ticketmaster and Entertainment Rewards they all had a different story and explanation. To start off, the sales representative I spoke to for Ticketmaster denied that Ticketmaster has any type of affiliation or that they advertise for Entertainment Rewards which is clearly a lie. After a long half an hour of arguing with the associate and the associate trying to just end my call or transfer me to Entertainment rewards, he finally let me speak to a supervisor. The supervisor named Renee, now explained to me that they DO advertise for Entertainment Rewards but that by no means does Ticketmaster ever share my account information with other parties. He assured me that the only way Entertainment Rewards could obtain my credit card information is if and only if I typed it into the Entertainment Rewards website. This is untrue because the only place I ever put my credit card information in was Ticketmaster.
When speaking to a supervisor at Entertainment Rewards named Jilian, she insisted that Ticketmaster explained to me that ticket master does allow them to get my account information after I agree to receive emails by Entertainment Rewards. So basically by typing my email address twice in a box that asks if I would like to learn more about a certain discount. She insisted that by typing my email address twice, it allows them to get all the information I had provided Ticketmaster with. This is contradictory to what the Ticketmaster supervisor said.
I by no means agreed to being charged the $9.00 a month for being a member of Entertainment Rewards. Entertainment Rewards agreed to cancel my membership that I never agreed to having in the first place and to refund me only a month worth of $9.00. This is ridiculous and false enrichment on their part. They are making money off of tricking people into believing they are going to receive information by email and somehow the emails are never received and the money is taken right out of their account every month. They rely on the fact that the emails, if they even send any, are sent to spam and they rely on people not noticing the small amount of $9.00 taken out of their account.
Ticketmaster has denied that they share personal information with 3rd party affiliates but this is clearly false. They should be held accountable and liable for this scam.
