TicketsNow I ordered 3 tickets that were $107 each, plus 16.05 per ticket, plus $14.95 for shipping, total $386.05. When the tickets arrived, they were $40 seats with $7.75 charge per each ticket=total $143.25. Ripoff $224.80. Rolling Meadows Illinois
I went to the New York State Fair website to look for tickets for a show. There was an icon that said if you entered your email address, they would notify you when the tickets became available. That icon was TicketsNow. I filled out their form with my email address and sent it. TicketsNow notified me on 4/25/09 stating the tickets were available. I clicked on the address in the email that led me to TicketsNow. I searched for available tickets, and they were Track D, Row 17, seats 9,10, and 11. When I finished paying for these tickets, they were 3 x $107.00, service charge 3 x $16.05, Shipping $14.95 for a total of $368.05. They deducted one service charge for $16.05 on the 3 tickets.
When the tickets arrived, they were issused by TicketMaster, they were $40.00 each and a $7.75 service charge. These 3 tickets would have totaled: $40 x3=$120. $7.75 x3 = $23.25 for a total of $143.25.
TicketsNow ripped me off for $224.80. That is enough to take them to small claims court. I called the New York State Fair commissioner and she told me that they were not aware of a secondary selling agent on their website. They deal only with Ticketmaster. I called TicketsNow and they will not take the tickets back. My only recourse is to try to sell them on their website.
I have been ripped off before but never to this degree. I have learned my lesson. Beware people of TicketsNow !!!

Why didn't you just buy them direct from ticketmaster? Why are the tickets on your site listed above face value? Licensed ticket brokers and individual sellers generally sell their tickets at prices above face value. This price is known as the ticket's "market value." Tickets are obtained from a variety of sources including season ticket holders and individuals who have extra tickets for events. To obtain these high-demand tickets, brokers pay a premium, or a price often well above face value. They then sell these tickets at market value. The market value price for a ticket is determined by many factors including seat location, supply and demand, date and location of event, etc. As an individual, you can also post tickets for sale on TicketsNow.com. Our ultimate goal is to provide our customers with the greatest selection of event tickets at competitive prices. Is it illegal to sell tickets for more than face value? No. It does generally require a license and set of standards to follow. In Illinois, where TicketsNow is licensed, it also requires a $100,000 cash bond for consumer protection to be held either privately or through an association. We are licensed to sell in 98% of the markets and will notify you if we cannot. All transactions that we handle meet all state and local provisions.
