I signed up with Together LA about a month ago. Jody my membership counselor had me completely sold that there dating service was better than all others and world's better then something impersonal like match.com. She assured me that they had "quality" men in their service and that their matchmakers are the best at going out and finding exactly the man you want. I wasted an hour talking to Jody about what I was looking for in a man....now that I'm signed up every match they send me is not even remotely close to my "type". This service is also EXTREMELY expensive. They took my $1500...won't give me a refund, not even a partial one. When called out on how crappy their service has been, the woman who signed me up brushed me off and no longer takes my calls. When I call to talk to her she's always "out of the office." I know it's my fault for signing up in the first place, but admittedly Jody's sales pitch was extremely convincing. I walked out of her office feeling like I just invested in the best dating service everywhere.... Mr. Right was just a few profiles away. DON'T SIGN UP!! They'll take your money and pair you with the most uninteresting and unattractive people in LA. Grrr......stupid stupid of me to sign up, but when the promise of finding Mr. Right forever is presented you...it's hard to turn down. sassytiki Culver City, California

Sassytikki, They got me by advertising CulverCitySingles.com I've been charged over $3000 for 10 introductions. They say they are a "matchmaker" type service but we never get "seen" by our matchmaker. I called and spoke with my matchmaker about my concerns. Took her advice and went forward. Still not satisfied with the number or type of introductions, I asked for a manager. I met with both the manager and my matchmaker. Let it ride again. Nothing changed!!! Started researching the company. Wish I had the mindset to do it before I ever joined. Anyway, sent them a letter of demand for a refund. They have ignored me. Suing in Small Claims Court is the only option. It's affordable and easy, no lawywers involved. I will be filing a claim in the next week or two. The proper court would be West Los Angeles. You may also want to look of Civil Code 1694 which talks about dating contracts. We can ask for treble damages if there is fraud, misrepresentation, etc. Amanda

Leah- Nice to see that you have found someone special from the "Two of Us". Honestly, I'm not sure what person would spend the energy you did on your e-mail regarding the wonderful services you rendered. Especially since you have only been dating this special someone for a few months. Was it really neccesary to comment on money spent, or did you really need to express yourself so bad that you had to put words/phrases all in caps. Give me a break....this smells like a "Two of Us" staff possessing as a pleased member. No person takes the time to write what "Leah" wrote unless there was a motive. It appears someone wants to squash the poor publicity they are getting so they can continue to sucker innocent for MONEY (that was for you Leah).

Leah,I am happy for you that you have found success with this company called Two of Us or also known as Together. But I had nothing but problems from the day when my Match Maker talked to me over the phone and started changing my original profile to something I never wanted in my referrals. And then started sending me matches that I never had any thing in common with. And when you tell them that you are angry that they keep sending matches that either never contact you back or never seem to be a good match, they blame you for not being open minded about it.Screw the Two of Us or ( Together ) and may it rot in Hell....

I think Two of Us is WONDERFUL. I signed up with Two of Us just before Thanksgiving, and I am now enjoying my Christmas holidays with a delightful man, who I never would have met if it wasn't for joining Two of Us! I have never been happier. THANK YOU, JODY! (She was my "counselor" too, and I think she did a great job of noting my preferences.) I would like to say, for anyone who feels "ripped off" by any introduction service: Matchmakers are not miracle workers, they have to work with the "raw material" they are given (YOU). If you are a nice person, presentable, neat and clean and take care of yourself, and reasonable in your expectations, then you will likely meet someone you like, and it will be a very positive experience, such as I had. HOWEVER...if you are expecting some kind of miracle, such as good looking, splendid personality and rich (when you possess none of those qualitites yourself) then it is UNFAIR to blame your failures on good people who are only trying to help you. By the way, you got a DEAL at $1,500. Not sure what kind of package you got, but I paid MUCH more, and it was worth every cent. I would highly recommend this company, and suggest that you give yourself more time and examine your own reasonableness. People with unreasonable expectations are usually setting themselves up for failure at the start. Don't blame a good company for your own personal failure. That is just wrong. And please remember, ATTITUDE IS EVERYTHING. Leah

I wasted my time and money with this company and I want to for worn others not to do the same.To read more on this company Use " Together " on your word search and you will see a lot of bad reports and ill feelings about this company and how they badly treat their clients who paid good money for their services. So please stay away !
