Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

I called and asked specifically for sales manager and I told them. that we are looking for a pick up truck Toyota Tacoma and if it is possible that we get 0$ down or 0% interest. The answer was yes if you have a good credit score you can have the truck for 0$ down.

Our credit score turned to be out 729 and we completed the deal and signed the paperwork.

4 days later they called us back and asked for 4000$ down payment if we still want to keep the truck. We went once again to the Toyota dealer in Kirkland to complete the deal with the new terms. It turned out that our social security number was sent to 8 different credit lenders which effected our credit score -10 each time, total -80. We still wanted to complete the deal. In addition we still haven't received the carpet mats after 4 days even though we paid for them already and we only keep on receiving empty promises.

At the end we requested by the WA state law that they at least negotiate the documentation fee of $ 150-which is negotiable by the WA law. The finance manager was unable to make that decision and we asked for the decision maker. When the desk manager walked into the room he told us that Toyota of Kirkland charges $150 documentation fee from ever body, there is no exception if you don't want it you can leave the key and walk away from the deal. His approach and the way he told this was very rude and not at all customer friendly in any kind of way. Therefore we walked away.

I think it is not acceptable that promises being made at the beginning that they are unable to keep-therefore they should not make misleading promises and provide better customer service.

We were very unhappy with this experience of Toyota, but the sales person and finance manager were friendly and customer service oriented people and did a good job.

want- LIARS, CHEATERS, DECEIVERS, & MANIPULATORS, representing and selling the Toyota product line. (They believe it sells more vehicles and makes them more profit.)

*Toyota's TOP executives know, and have known, about the DECEPTION, TRICKERY, & MANIPULATION, that takes place at its dealer network in America.

However, it's the 'Toyota way' of selling vehicles.

Have you ever heard of the word 'karma'? Here's the definition-

'KARMA' (definition) - Something done; action, work, behavior; also the CONSEQUENCES of action spiritually and mentally, as well as physically.

"4 days later they called us back and asked for 4000$ down payment if we still want to keep the truck."

This is the point where you should hand over the keys and walk.   If you make a deal for $0 down, then they want to change it to $4K down, that's an indication that you're about to be hosed.   The dealership figures that after 4 days, you'll agree to a whole new deal (with better terms for them) because you want to keep the truck.  It's a common tactic called "spot delivery".    Any dealer that tries to pull this is hoping to squeeze more out of you than you originally agreed to.  Don't do business with anyone that can't honor their agreements.

by walking away. I had a similar situation with Ford Credit years ago. I bought a new Mustang for $1000.00 down and a nice trade in, my credit score was excellent. They never gave me any owners manuals for the car..(kind of like you never got the floor mats), I think they do this so you will come back in.

Well when I came back in to ask where the manuals are, and they told me they have them but I had to put another $1000.00 down. I was not happy, but reluctantly posted dated a check and told them not to deposit it until that date, and they agreed. Then of course they deposited it right away and caused an overdraft. They did make good on that after a fight but in hindsight as soon as they tried to re-neg on the deal and ask for more money after I had the car for a week, I should have tossed the keys on the desk, and said "give me my trade in back..have a nice day".

If right at the start of your relationship they treat you like that..imagine once they get your money? The paint on that Mustang started chipping off in a month, and rust was coming through on some areas of the roof and along the rear window, and they told me if they repair it, that it won't match right. A brand new car mind you.

Who knows if you ended up with that Toyota how they would have handled it if an issue arose...

Live and learn.
