I had attempted to buy a 1990 Lincoln Town Car from TroyF978 on E-bay. I paid the $250 deposit and asked of I could have a few extra days to get him the rest of the $. I had the $ but I couldn't get to the bank. He said that I could and that I should not forget the $195 DOC fees.

I went to my bank and got a certifited check and sent it to the address he provided. The check was in the amount of $1044.00. I sent the check (through regular mail). I e-mailed him about when I would get the title.

He e-mailed me back asking me what the VIN # was. He did not make any communication with me until I called and asked him about the car and when I would get the title. He said the car was no longer available because he never recieved the check.

And that he sold the car for less $$ to someone else. He never contacted me and I didnt know the check was "lost".

I left him a negative feedback saying he knew I sent the check but sold the car to someone else.

He then started flooding my e-mail with ridiculous messages about how he located the car that "you are dying to have" send him another check or wire him the $$.

He refused to sign an affidavit from my bank stating he never recieved my check. He lied to Paypal saying that he did not give me longer than 3 days to get him the payment (this way he is saying he gets to keep the deposit of $250 because I violated the terms of the auction)He kept sending me e-mails saying I can have a refund if I remove the feedback.

He Is also sending me messages everyday about mediating with Square Trade. He refuses to sign the affidavit for my bank which leads me to believe that he has the check and is planning on cashing it. He is so crooked you never know. His feedback rating on E-bay is horrible.

Troy Finkelstien has alot of unsatisfied customers. Then he harrasses you and tries to hold your $ over your head and say you have to withdraw the feedback so you can have your $ back.

He is a liar and a cheat and then he writes lies on his feedback to unsatisified customers. I am out over $1300 because of this liar. By all means do not buy anything from him!!!! Let the feedback speak for itself. He is troyf978 on Ebay. See all the negative feedback.

Always read the feedback

I looked up this character on eBay. At first I was impressed with the high numbers of feedbacks and was not at all put off by his 97% positive rating. That is, until I read his feedbacks. Nearly all of this guy's feedback comes from transactions where he bought stuff on eBay. That masked the fact that nearly all his sales ended with negative feedbacks. So his experience is that 500 times he bought stuff and got good feedback but nine out the ten times he sold stuff he got bad feedback. When buying on eBay it's a good idea to read the feedback before bidding. See what other buyers have had to say about the seller.
