Truffoire cosmetic products can be harmful. I visited Truffoire at the Hilton Hawaiian Village in Honolulu, HI where I was given a demonstration of the product. I repeatedly expressed my concern that my skin on and around my face and neck is extremely sensitive but I was repeated assured that this product line was made up of natural ingredients and that it was FDA approved. I was assured that Truffoire could not cause a negative reaction. I ultimately believed their claims and purchased the product. I was told by the sales associate as I left the store that, if I had a problem, she would take care of it. Nothing could have been further from the truth.

Within 24 hours of having had the demonstration, the area where the product had been applied broke out in a hot, burning, and itching rash. I felt like I was burning from the inside out. I spent the last 3 days of my vacation indoors because the heat and sun increased the burning and itching. I returned to the store to cancel my order which had not yet been shipped. At that point, the sales associates gave me the run around eventually telling me there was no refund policy and that I would have to talk to Customer Service. I told them I simply wanted to cancel my order. Nevertheless, on that day, they shipped the product to my home obviously to, then, have an opportunity to refuse a return of the product and refund. I was diagnosed with Contact Dermatitis due to cosmetics by my dermatologist once I came home.

As a result, I have researched this company and have found that the Better Business Bureau has rated them with an F. There are multiple class action suits for similar issues against this company. And, after speaking with the FDA, I have learned that the FDA does not have the responsibility to approve cosmetics unless they are regulated by the Division on Drugs. I was lied to, I was misled, and I was ignored by the company and its associates when seeking a remedy. This company must be exposed to the public for its unfair business practices and outright lies.
