Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
What can i say apart from utter scam.

After seeing a job advert on www.reed.co.uk for Retail Assistant/Customer Service Skills i applied as like most of the world i find myself out of work and in need of a job, but after the experience with this 'company' i find i'm not THAT desperate.

First the job description wasn't that informative and when i looked on their website that wasn't helpful either. Neither was their twitter feed, Facebook or blog (mostly re-hashed rubbish from Huffington Post) this rang alarm bells but for some reason i chose to turn the volume down on them for now.

So i applied and got an email back within minutes, from Laura who wanted me to call her back NOW. This struck me as odd so whilst i was sending an email asking for more information my phone rang with a mobile number 07702223697, other reports on this company have used 01912325304 as the number and that the company also goes by the name CM Aquisitions...Dodgy!.

So my curious albeit nosy self went for an interview, unassuming building, office a few floors up with about 20 miserable looking people there. The interview - which is a overstatement, consisted of being bombarded with questions and having my questions ignored.

Finally when i was told about the work, which i was lead to believe would be office based, was in-fact trawling around the streets banging on peoples doors and stealing their personal information for services they neither need or exist.

Because i'm nosy i wanted to know the areas i would be going to (i was faking interest just so i could get enough information to stop these scammers) i was told by one 'employee' that areas with high numbers of elderly people are the target as they are most likely to let you in and give you what you want.

With regards to pay i was told that once people sign up to this scam it takes 3 weeks to get paid so i guess you have to walk around the streets for about 12 hours for free? but if the victims cancel you don't get paid. It was looking less and less appealing by the second. Still i kept on getting information out of them.

I was asked if i want to go out into the field for a day with another candidate and a representive. This part i remember seeing on the job advert -

"Some applicants will be invited back to shadow a representative in the field for a full day to gain an understanding of the responsibilities involved. Since you are not permitted to actively participate in any sales, you will not be entitled to compensation. We will look to make a mutual final decision when you return to the office. Weve found that this is very helpful in determining if the opening is right for you!!"

Basically wander around the streets with strangers and harass people for hours for free! i could do that without conning people. And do i really want to get into a car that isn't mine and make myself trapped for this rubbish??...No i don't.

As you can imagine my answer was no.
I've reported this dodgy company and it's director TONY ROBERTS to the OFT and every job website they are on, it's not just sales they are doing it's waiting/bar staff too so god know what they want you to do there.

Keep away, don't get sucked in, it may be hard out there but it isn't worth being used as slave labor conning yourself and others.

Stop these low lives
