TXU Energy, TXU Energy Assistance, TXU Energy Aid TXU Energy Customer Care Advocates had no idea how I could get payment assistance. Dallas Texas
I recently received my Electric bill and was shocked to see the bill for $608.36. I noticed a $200.00 Early Cancellation fee. This was initiated, since I was trying to SAVE Money on my previous $306.83. electric bill and decided to try a different plan. What I did not know is I was going to be charged a Cancellation fee.
The bottom line is I did not cancel with TXU, I simply changed the plan. Unfortunately, that did no good as my new current bill was higher than my last bill at $408.36. nearly one hundred dollars higher than my previous bill.
I have a newborn child, an 8 year old daughter, and an unemployed wife. I do my best as it is to make the electric payments and have never been late. This is outrageous, and I do not have this kind of money to spend on electricity.I was reading the back of the bill and it says I can contact a TXU Energy Customer Care Advocate that can assist me with my bill and secure payment assistance from state and federal energy assistant programs.
This TXU Energy Customer Care Advocate had no idea or resources how I could get some kind of "one time bill assistance". The only thing he could do is extend my due date to 8/22/08, which doesn't really help the fact that the same amount is still going to be due. He asked if i could make any portion of the payment today and so I paid a whopping $200 of it. He says someone would be calling me back in regards to the my bill and I still have not heard anything.
This has been over a week now and no resolution. The TXU Energy Customer care Advocate then had the nerve to ask if I was on medicare or collected food stamps. I was honest and told him no. However with Electric cost like this I am going to have to start. I then researched online Energy Aid help and the only thing that is found is how to contribute to the TXU Energy Aid program and articles of how they help all the people of elderly, low income, or disabled people. I am not asking for much.
I just want the remainder of my bill waived one time which would be a total of $408.36 since I've already paid $200 of it. I will never try to save money again by switching plans, and by all means do what I can to become disabled, and have low income, so I can be included to be helped by the TXU Energy Aid program in the future.
