I accepted a "free" trial offer from UltraLife Fitness for an UltraPM supplement. I agreed only to pay for shipping/handling charges of $4.95 for this "free" trial. I accepted this offer while responding to an ad for on-line surveys. There was absolutely no mention of any further committments, autoships, etc.

On 10/3/2005, my bank account was debited the $4.95 shipping/handling. On 11/1/2005, my account was again debited, this time for $44.90! I immediately got on the website, www.ultralifefitness.com and tried to find out why. There was very little mention to UltraPM on this website at all. So I used their contact form, sent them a note that I did not wish to be on their apparent autoship program and to cancel my unauthorized memebership immediately. I also asked for an address to return the product once I received it. I received no response.

On 11/7/2005, when the product arrived, I called the phone number listed on the bottle, 1-800-757-1279 and was treated extrememly poorly from the beginning. The first person I spoke to was Julie Ann. She said she would cancel my autoship. When I asked for an address to return the product to and about a refund, she rudely told me that the company did not accept returns and I would not be issued a refund. When I tried to explain that I did not order this, she said I could write a complaint letter to the "owners" of the company. I told her I should not have to write a letter to anyone when I did not authorize this charge to my account, nor did I order the product. She became even more rude and again referred me to the "owners". When I asked for an "owners" name, she refused to give me one, just told me to address any correspondence attn: Owners. I asked for a supervisor and of course she told me she was a supervisor. I then asked for whoever she reported to and she hung up on me!!!

When I called back, I just asked for a supervisor/manager. The man who answered the phone became immediately rude and asked what I needed. I said I needed a manager or whoever was in charge. He transferred me to someone named "John." John sounded amazingly like the person who answered the phone in the first place. I asked for the information on the "owners" and he too became rude asking for my account information before he would help me at all. Then without letting me say a word, he said he would not talk to me because Julie Ann wrote comments in the computer that I had yelled at her and called her names and then he, too, hung up on me!

This is the worst company I have ever had the misfortune to deal with. It is obvious that they are a scam or the "owners" would not mind their employees giving out their name and address. Any reputable company would glady accept returns on any product they sell and definitely would have not problem taking back an item that a customer did not order in the first place!

Do not give these people any of your precious account information. Their "free" trials are not free at all. And with the way they do business, who knows what is in the products they sell. Very scarey that they do not provide even an information sheet on these supplements.

Complaints filed notifiying govt. agencies of scam

I have just filed complaints against Ultralife Fitness with the following agencies : Better Business Bureau, case#22018791, the Federal Trade Commission and the State of Utah Dept of Commerce, Division of Consumer Protection. Please do yourself a favor and file also. If we can't get our money back, the very least we can do is let the government agencies know about the fraudulent activity going on with this business. In the course of my filings, I found that UltraLife Fitness also operates under the following names: Image Corporation, Professional Medical Compliance Services, PMCS, UtralifePM. The phone numbers are all the same, as are the addresses. They are all listed with the Better Business Bureau. It is just ridiculous. Also please be sure to keep these people on the phone long enough to get your assigned customer member number and password so that you can log on to their website www.ultralifefitness.com and cancel your membership. Even though I never signed up for a membership, never before even signed on to this website, they had set up this account in my name and the ONLY way you will get it cancelled is to do it via the website. Julie Anne lied to me when she gave me a cancellation number and told me she cancelled the auto-ship that I never requested in the first place. These people are very good at ripping you off. Don't let them get away with it. Complain to everyone and file with everyone. I put out a personal challenge to the "owners" of this company to do the right thing now and refund the money they took from me.

And so the saga continues

And so the saga continues. After spending countless minutes on the phone with these liars on 11/7/05, being assured that my "membership" was cancelled (even received a cancellation number 117429), and being PROMISED that no further charges would be made, I find out from my bank this morning 11/08/05, that another charge had been made!!! This time for $24.00. For what I have no idea. Of course I try to call them and their phones on an automated "loop" message saying press 1 for service. That's a joke. So I sent yet another message to their email that I was given yesterday [email protected], though I'm sure I will never hear back. The other part of this scam is that they claim they sent me several emails detailing my "membership". I never received any emails from these people. When I asked them to "re-send" to me, the man said "he didn't have access to those files." Of course he didn't have access, because they don't exist. I have had to cancel my debit card and I'm thinking I will probably close my account altogether to keep these people from stealing any more money from me. I don't know how any of this company's employees can sleep at night knowing that they are theives. By the way, they are the same company, same P.O. Box, same phone numbers as NutraHoodia.net. BEWARE of these phonies.
