ULTRASOUND DIAGNOSTIC - SANFORD BROWN Ripped off a Gulf War Veteran! TAMPA FLORIDA
I went to this school after getting out of the military. I attended it when it was called "ULTRASOUND DIAGNOSTICS" back then , 1997 it was located on princess palm drive in Sable Park in Tampa.
I was a veteran at the time , I had only been out of the ARMY for almost two years when the commercial caught my attention. I went to the school they were so polite and I
thought I was on my way to this fantastic "medical assisting " career. With me being a veteran who was honorably discharged after 5 years I was able to use my GI Bill.
They told me that they would send off all the paperwork and that I was good to go. I wen t the school, I did very well, made great grades and had decent teachers . So the course is over and we are getting ready for our Graduation , I was called into the office and was told that I had a outstanding balance with the school and that I would not get my Diploma until it was paid off.
Now this is where it gets interesting , my GI Bill was to pay 100 % of my schooling , so what happened ? Someone did not send the request in and they allowed me to start classes and complete the course before they told me about the balance. I had no idea, what happened . I called veteran services and they told me that because I had already finished the school that I was not eligible to use my GI Bill.
So I was and am stuck with these loans that shouldn't be my responsibility , I have refused to pay them on principle , my credit is messed up from it and they have taken my income tax once already . And not to mention the bill collectors calling .
I have just started paying small monthly payments , but only because I'm so fed up with it and I have no where to turn at this time. I owe at this time at least $ 7,000.00 .
And to top it off I never did get anything from them but a generic certificate with my name on it.
I was screwed big time and now I'm paying this ridiculous fee for a school I can barely prove I went to !!!! I wish I could sue them for fraud or something ! Anyone have any Ideas?

Sanford-Brown has been ripping off students for many years. Please be advised before talking to any CEC representative. They're selling cars not education. This isn't how it should work. No educational institution should be selling you an education.
