Complaint Review: Unim - Perforum Marketing - Delray Beach Florida

I attended a National Grant Conference in ST Petersburg FL Feb 2005 at the end of the conference, we were introduced to a representative from Unim who was going to provide us with the necessary means of making money on the internet with their websites.

The presentation was very persuavive and convincing. I signed up for the follow-on seminar that was to be conducted by Unim. At the seminar given by Unim I paid $129. as a special promotional offering. I was told the website retailed for $299.

I signed up with Unim and bought the Unim website disk. I signed up for the hosting of $29.95 per month which was required by Unim to run their website. It promoted the Unim basic business website and they offered extra cd's as well. The presenter stated that we should have a merchant account provided by Innovative Merchant Solutions and as 800# which would be provided by PBNext.

I signed up for the merchant account for $399. and the $20. monthly fee. Next, I signed up for the PBNext service offered by Unim for $29.95 per month. They said these items were necessary in order to accept Visa and MasterCard and the 800# for a professional appearance.

They failed though to disclose other fees such as early termination in the event your situation did not work out or for whatever reasons. They gave you no time to read the entire contract but to sign the highlighted areas. We were assured that the monthly fees associated with the site would be offset by the sales that we would make.

About a week later, I received a welcome letter with information as to passwords and sign-on names to begin the construction of the website for whatever business I was interested in. A few weeks later, I was contacted by Zachery from Unim business development. I should be noted that Zachery could not have contacted me without obtaining my personal information from Unim.

After answering yes to obvious questions about financial independence and making with the website, he said they were looking for people for their program of which he did not go into detail about and would sset me up with another interview with his manager. He then set me up for an interview with the Director of Marketing, Steve Larson for the following evening.

After listening to his script presentation and answering his obvious questions of financial independence and to write down my goals in life, he said I would be a good fit for the Master Mentor Program.

Though the Unin Unlimited website was listed at $999., he suggested selling it for $795. so as to not degrade the value of the product. He said the cost of the Master Mentor Program was $7540. and that I should use OPM (other people's money), meaning your credit cards which should be paid off according to their plan of selling Unim's websites within a few months due to the sales generated.

I was then assigned a coach who I later found out worked for Perforum Marketing and Steve Larson works for Global Marketing Alliance. All claimed to be agents of UnimLLC.

Steve ? stated to me and in writing:

1. Master Mentor Program for 1 year (10 weeks proactive and 4 Tele ConferenceCalls).

2. 100,000 Opt in E-Mail 2% guaranteed views with E-Blast

3. Initiative Marketing Software

4. E-Auctions Success Software

5. Site Analyzer Software

6. PPC Analyzer Software

Steve ? also stated that in 3 months I should be making $3000-4000. In six months,$5000-6000 and in 12 months $8000-9000. I was expected to put in about 8-10 hours a week working on my site.

The end result was that UnimLLC and Perforum Marketing Inc. promised much and failed to deliver. As of today, I am out over $8000. and HAVE NOT MADE A SALE despite my efforts.

Just like everyone else I want these sobs.
