I attended a National Grants Conference in Atlanta in Novenber of 2004. Aat the end of the conference, we were introduced to a representative from Unim who was going to provide us with the necessary means of making money on the internet with their websites. The presentation was very persuavive and convincing. I signed up for the follow-on seminar that was to be conducted by Unim. At the seminar given by Unim I paid $129. as a special promotional offering. I was told the website retailed for $299. I signed up with Unim and bought the Unim website disk. I signed up for the hosting of $29.95 per month which was required by Unim to run their website. It promoted the Unim basic business website and they offered extra cd's as well. The presenter stated that we should have a merchant account provided by Innovative Merchant Solutions and as 800# which would be provided by PBNext.

I signed up for the merchant account for $399. and the $20. monthly fee. Next, I signed up for the PBNext service offered by Unim for $29.95 per month. They said these items were necessary in order to accept Visa and MasterCard and the 800# for a professional appearance. They failed though to disclose other fees such as early termination in the event your situation did not work out or for whatever reasons. They gave you no time to read the entire contract but to sign the highlighted areas. We were assured that the monthly fees associated with the site would be offset by the sales that we would make.

About a week later, I received a welcome letter with information as to passwords and sign-on names to begin the construction of the website for whatever business I was interested in. A few weeks later, I was contacted by Zachery from Unim business development. I should be noted that Zachery could not have contacted me without obtaining my personal information from Unim. After answering yes to obvious questions about financial independence and making with the website, he said they were looking for people for their program of which he did not go into detail about and would sset me up with another interview with his manager. He then set me up for an interview with the Director of Marketing, Steve Larson for the following evening. After listening to his script presentation and answering his obvious questions of financial independence and to write down my goals in life, he said I would be a good fit for the Master Mentor Program. Though the Unin Unlimited website was listed at $999., he suggested selling it for $795. so as to not degrade the value of the product. He said the cost of the Master Mentor Program was $7540. and that I should use OPM (other people's money), meaning your credit cards which should be paid off according to their plan of selling Unim's websites within a few months due to the sales generated. I was then assigned a coach who I later found out worked for Perforum Marketing and Steve Larson works for Global Marketing Alliance. All claimed to be agents of UnimLLC.

Steve Larson stated to me and in writing:

1. Master Mentor Program for 1 year (10 weeks proactive and 4 Tele ConferenceCalls).

2. 100,000 Opt in E-Mail 2% guaranteed views with E-Blast

3. Initiative Marketing Software

4. E-Auctions Success Software

5. Site Analyzer Software

6. PPC Analyzer Software

Steve Larson also stated that in 3 months I should be making $3000-4000. In six months,$5000-6000 and in 12 months $8000-9000. I was expected to put in about 8-10 hours a week working on my site.

The end result was that UnimLLC and Perforum Marketing Inc. promised much and failed to deliver. As of today, I am out over $8000. and HAVE NOT MADE A SALE despite my efforts.

My credit rating has taken a hit because of the amount of the charges to my 2 credit cards and not having paid off the balances.

I was promised the Unlimited Premier Unim product was far from premium and contained many flaws.

There is little difference between the Standard and Unlimited websites.

I was told that the 1000,000 Opt in E-Mail Marketiing was to a targeted audience and later found out it was random. Not one customer clicked through my site!

I was promised 4 Internet Marketing Tele Conference Calls which never happened!

UnimLLC and Perforum Inc. asked for 8-10 a week. I invested more than 60 hrs a weekk and got taken.

Of the ten proactive calls which where for 1/2 hr., only half of the calls lasted for the duration.

The website builder is awkward for entry and removal of pictures and formatting must appear wrong in the builder in order to appear correct on the website.

The 20 minute auto logout will log you out without notice. You can only use the software online.

The Initiative Marketing Software is and E-Book of which most of the 10 sessions were based and provided little additional information. Most of what I had learned in the 10 sessiions was in the Initiative Marketing E-Book.

The PPC Analyzer which was offered as part of the program is a software that you must purchase and is not free as was implied.

I asked about changing templates if I needed to change the appearance of my site and was told by my coach that it should not be a problem. Unless the template was a specific format, you could not make a change unless you rearranged all of your text and pictures which meant you would have to redesign your site to fit the template I later found out.

UnimLLC is essentially flooding the market with their websites through victims that were contacted as a result of the National Grants Conference and selling them for whatever they could get without any price protection. Steve Larson never mentioned others would be marketing the same websites for considerably less than I was asked to do. UnimLLC's tactics to induce people into their various mentor programs are deceitful, misleadng and unethical. Others were offered the same program for more or less depending on how they felt about the individual they were interviewing. I was sold this program under false pretenses of not being told of other price structures and that others were being recruited to sell the some product.

I accidentally came across the website RIPOFFREPORT.com and did not realize how many people had the same experience and were deceived as I was and lured into selling UnimLLC websites. If I had known of any of this, I would have never bought into this program. I am at present seeking restitution for what I paid for the program and promptly file a complaint with the FTC (Federal Trade Commission), the Attorney General's office in Florida and the Better Business Bureau.

Refund from UnimLLC

#2Author of original report

Tue, June 14, 2005

After posting my complaint through the ripoff report, I was contacted by UnimLLC and was offered a full refund. Two weeks later I have now been refunded and want to thank them for their cooperation in this mater. What was of interest was that the individual who signed me up for the program is no longer employed. At this point I will no longer pursue this issue as I have been satisfied with my refund and thank UnimLLC for their efforts.
