This moving company was used by Alliance Moving services to move my items from Chicago to New Tazwell Tennessee, I was assured that they were professional and competent.

They came to my home in Chicago late  and with a U-Haul that they said was at no charge to me, and I quote," Its okay don't worry about it." I had already been charged by Alliance for a Destination shuttle rental amount of $300.00 and my Chicago street would more than accomadate a semi tractor trailer or a 26 ft straight.

They wrapped some of my items leaving unwrapped a tiffany shade floor lamp and a wood bookcase which they said they would wrap at the storage unit. They broke my desk into two pieces and as I had left personal papers in the drawer they seemed to have wrapped it very securely.

On the 15th of March they delivered my items.

On March 15th 2014 I recieved a call from the truck driver of Unique Van Lines who said that he was 10 miles from my town and would need to find a shuttle because his semi would not make it up our mountain road and that there would be an extra cost.

I told the driver that the cost had been already paid he said he would have to look at the papers. So I look at my papers and I see that the ,"No problem don't worry about it," man has checked the PU cost of $300.00 for the shuttle on the PU end, that I was too blind or stupid with exhaustion to notice.

So hours go by and I get another call from UNIQUE Van Lines driver who says he almost got his truck stuck and was lost. I found out his location and sent my husband to retrieve him along with our items.

Imagine my suprise when Unique Van Lines pulls into my drive with all my items strapped to his tractor rear, apparently according to him he was told to deliver the items, and he couldn't find a rental place for a shuttle so he got the bright idea to drop his trailer and load my items onto his tractor rear.

I also noticed that the items that I was told would be wrapped in the storage area, were unwrapped on the truck, a wooden book case and my Tiffany shade pole lamp.

The bookcase has deep gouges, the Tiffany lamp shade is crushed, the pole lamp is broken, the WRAPPED Curio cabinet with glass and mirrors was shattered beyond all repair, A desk with personal papers is missing, and a china box is missing with stem ware,a scratch is on the screen of my LED TV set, the VCR/DVD player is broken apparently shaken to death, my printer and a cannon photo printer were crammed together in a box with a blanket.

I asked the driver if this was everything he assured me that it was and that Alliance Moving Services had helped him load the items.

The driver tossed a piece of paper at me to sign mumbled something about filing for damages in fifteen days, and took off. The boxes sat unopened in the basement, I had wanted him to put the desk together again(It was in two parts)

Nobody in their right mind should use a Moving broker especially ALLIANCE MOVING SERVICES and UNIQUE VAN LINES is a out and out fraud.

No I am worried to death that my desk with personal papers has been gone through sand that next I will be the victim of identity theft...Thank you Alliance for making my move so memorable and thank you Unique Van Lines for confirming for me that moving companies are the biggest scam going.

Bottom line read the contract, if you read the contract you will not sign anything so stupid in which you bear all the liability stick with established moving companies.
