On 7/1/07, I filled out several applications for "short-term" loans from the barrage of emails I'd been receiving everyday for weeks. Being that I am disabled, and live on a small, fixed-income, I thought that there was no way any of these places would respond. Frankly, I was just alone and feeling bored, and filled them out for something to do, thinking, if I actually did get funds from even one, then I could use it to buy meds that I needed at the moment, and pay them back on the first of the month, no big deal.

To my shock, the next day I received emails from three of these "loan agencies", stating that they had deposited funds into my bank acct. One for $250, one for $200 and another for $150. The first two were called "cash advance.com" and one click cash.com, and at least provided loan documents I could download, sign and fax back stating that I wanted these loans paid off when my disability check was auto-deposited on the first of the month.

However, the trouble started with the third for $150 from United Cash Loans, an online only company that provided me no documents, no contact information other than a fax number, to which they did not respond, and saying that if I wanted to pay off this loan at anytime, that I was to "call customer service," and state that I want to pay off this loan, then documents would be faxed to me, which I was to sign and fax back. They stated that I must do this 3 biz days in advance of my "due date', and upon receiving the returned documents would immediately debit my bank acct.

I searched the email. No customer service number. I searched their website, no number to be found anywhere, just an email form to "contact", which I filled out requesting these "documents" over and over again. No replies to any of them. I asked for my username and password to log into my acct. online, which they said was in the email they sent me which was completely untrue. There was no username, no password, and when I tried to get the info by filling in my email and hitting the "forgot password" button, I received no response, after trying many times.

My husband and I both did a search online, and found so many scam reports on this place it was unbelievable. The number of names they do business under is inthe thousands. I stopped scrolling when I got to the 900's. We found that this place is a total scam outfit, and in fact, had a court injunction filed against them by the state of CA ordering them to "cease and desist" doing all business with people residing in CA, which I do.

After reading endless reports of people being scammed out of thousands of dollars, I decided that the best thing I could do was close my bank acct and deny them access. I tried one last time to contact them by email, using their form on their site, as when I tried using the addy attached to the email they initially sent, it kept coming back as an "invalid address". I told them that I did not want the $150 they put into my acct, and that if they wanted their money back, I would give them 24 hrs. to contact me with a valid phone # and email address, and also a physical address where I would send them a check for $150, marked "paid in full". I also told them that I had already prepared a letter stating exactly what they did to me and why I had to deny them payment and close my bank acct, that I would be sending to all major credit reporting agencies.

Still, no response, no contact information, but my husband received a text messege on his cell phone from United Cash Loans saying "don't forget about your payment coming up". How in the hell did they get HIS info? I had not used his name in any context whatsoever! And still, no way to get in touch with them.

I made an offer to give them back their $150, to which they did not respond. I have learned a hard lesson, and will have to be broke for a month, but I refuse to let this place have one cent of my money. I learned that the way they operate is once they get your bank info, they will keep withdrawing from it, calling the withdrawals "finance charges", for which they were indicted for overchaging in my state in the first place, and just keep on doing it. I closed my bank acct. yesterday, and will also report them to the proper state agencies for acting in defience to a court order to not do business in the state of CA.

But along with the stress over this and the major hassle, I have learned something positive: I, as a consumer, have rights, and ways to fight back against these thieves. I felt so stupid when I went to my bank, but found out in the process that people like me, disabled and on fixed incomes with automatic deposits, the elderly, living on small fixed incomes, single moms, etc., are exactly the kind of people they target to be their victims. At least that made me feel a bit better, knowing I wasn't the only one, but at the same time it infuriated me that there are people like this who are so low as to bring more misery into the lives of the sick, the elderly and the financially-strapped folks trying to raise a family these days, which on one paycheck is d**n near impossible.

My heart goes out to each and everyone who has gotten entrapped by these con artists, but you CAN put a stop to them! Close your bank acct and open another one. Make an offer to settle the matter for whatever amount and get rid of them once and for all. But in my situation, I can't even contact these thieves to settle this and am prepared to go to war if I have to, which is all I need as I'm already sick. Do they care? Hell no. But I'll be damed if I ever give my bank info to anyone ever again, or deal with these scammers.

United Cash Loans. Be very, very wary, folks, and do not let them anywhere near your bank acct.. You will never be able to contact them, and they will continue to drain you for all they can. If anybody has any contact info on these jerks, that is currant and valid, please, please post and let me know,

and for the many others who I am positive got into the same situation that I did.
