Well, I managed to get my money back.. after the 10 day waiting period the bank imposes while they contact the company to see if they are going to dispute the withdrawal, so lesson learned, now wiser for it.. but i got my money back and that is all that mattered to me

I went to my bank to dispute the charges and my bank told me that they can only go back 60 days, which I think united financial knows this because the funds were taken from my bank account on july 25th it is now september 25th, I didnt recieve the "benefits package" until over a month after sending money, I still have yet to recieve a card, which I know now to be worthless. I went to the bank on the 23rd, which technically was the last day to dispute, they told me that they will send the dispute form to united financial but if they reject it there is nothing the bank can do.
I called united financial AGAIN and demanded to speak with someone in refunds department, who are very illusive mystical creatures who are conviently never in. I spoke with James Charles, if that is his name and really tore into him, he tried and tried to convince me that my benefits package contained very valuable information, I told him it was crap. He tried to convince me that united financial was a legitimate company, I asked him why then did the rep that contacted us flat out lie to get our business. He then explained what the deal is, see there is this card, not an unsecured mastercard with a 3,000.00 limit but a bank card, and if we used this bank card responsibly for 3-6 months we would be issued the unsecured card. I asked him why his rep lied to us and tell us that "they would send us the unsecured mastercard within 4 to 5 days of recieving our 299.00 and we could immediately go right out to the store on a shopping spree" He said he didnt know why she lied and that she would be disciplined. Yea right.
SO on and on we went I told him that I would never do business with a company that lies to get your business and that I have no need for a debit card, I have decent credit ( ok, so not much common sense for falling for a scam, but decent credit anhow) I aslo have absolutely no need for any of the "benefits" in this package and that was not what i paid for. I told him that I have already contacted my bank to dispute the charge, and that my next step is to contact the Attourny General's office and I WILL get my money back, I aslo informed him of the reports on this site as well as the BBB report.
He informed me that there was nothing he could do, they dont issue the mastercard and it would have to wait until I received the card to cancell it. I asked him if they didnt issue the card then why did every bit of infomation I recieve from them have the same address including the application for the card??? He tried to argue with me, but It's true all of them have the same address Po box 935 Bel Air Maryland. He tried to say that wasnt thier address, I told him to look it up on BBB it shows the same address, so I caught him in a bold face lie (yea).
After reminding him about the imminent dispute form from the bank and threatning to turn it over to higher authorities he informed me that as soon as he recieved the dispute form from the bank he would approve the refund. HMM< wonder if that will ever happen, we will have to wait and see.
ADVICE: if your just now figuring out this is a scam go to your bank RIGHT NOW!! the sooner you dispute it the better. hopefully you can get your money back too. dont know if i ever will, but i will let you know
