I was hired by two men claiming to be President of the Modification Law firm (Scott Schreiber ) and Vice-president of operations(Angel Gonzales)of the company called UNITED SOLUTIONS , Mr. Gonzales said I was Hired and in turn introduced me as a new intake Manager in training to a Senior Vice-President ( Albert Silverstien) on March 1, 2011. Mr. Silverstien a short grayhaired discontented and arrogant deciple of the now called United Solutions Modification firm, (one of many names given to the company via distribution of buisness cards to applicant who answer thier craigslist Job recruitment posting). They were looking to hire Intake Managers for their NEW COMPANY I believe prior to changing their name the company was called HOMESAFE AMERICA Loan Modification firm, because all the leads they gave me to call had the heading Homesafe America. I was placed on a desk one desk away from Mr. siverstien's office and was to shadow the activites from the other intake managers and salespersons and copy thier wording in order to sell legal services and close sale deals for potential mortgage loan modifications done by the attorneys . These deals were suppose to save the distressed homeowners who made an inquery to homesafe america . The homeowner were willing to pay 1% of the total loan amount. These distressed and practically hopeless homeowners seeking relief from the stress and financial burdens of the housing crunch and some facing illness, joblessness, and potential homelessnes are duped into thinking that their houses would be safe from forclosure if they give to these so called modification firms backed by legal representation anywhere from $1995.00 to $2450.00 upfront.
At first I was impressed with such a large group of people that I imagined were there to help people not lose thier homes and as for the price for legal representation seemed fair. But after noticing some inconsistancies as I started to work there I started to address them with this Mr. Silverstien and would be tongue lashed and humiliated in front of my coworkers supposedly to shut me up.. as I asked for tools to compleate my assignments. I NOTICED, the indignant behavior towards me when I asked for help or training and could see there was no intentions to train me properly.
I begged for cooperation but only recieved snyde remarks and "I Can't Help You " from the training manager under Mr. Silverstein., I believe his name was mark , I can't remember his last name. Well after not being given the proper tools to do my Job(a working computer, office supplies, properly working phone and proper training, I decided maybe it would be better to just bring in my own supplies and set up the voicemail myself in hopes to not let them impede my learning how to help these poor , desperate homeowners. I then resolved in my mind that I would speak to the men who hired me and the next day that's what I did I was always told they would take care of it but they never did. I was then reprimanded again by the senior V. P and indirectly told I was fired but I Protested and went downstairs to cool off ,I came back up and apologized for breaking the chain of command in the office and we agreed that I could finish working.
Short of having a working computer to enable me to get appraisals and other resources to provide the consumer. I was told to invade the work space of my coworkers in order to use a computer with no regard to their privatcy or need to show them any respect. I flatly refused and just bought in my own computer to get on the internet with. I was still unable to get internet because I was not allowed to access the internet without a network key , which they told me I could not have because they didn't know it ( I believe was a flat out lie). never the less I choose to overcome these obsticles and decided to do my best to sell the attorney services as directed. I set up my voicemail but quickly noticed that when I called my extension (416) there were no calls being put through... Now I really getting suspicious and confronted the Senior vice president who in turn said that I would not be recieving call from that phone, because if I did the other intake managers would probably steal my leads that I should give the customers my cell phone # to return my calls.
I then looked at him with bewilderness and sat at my desk making calls out, as I was instructed to listen to the other worker sales pitch to better my sales technicques I over heard a new guy guarantee the legal services and that the attorney would reduce the rate significanly. I turned to speak to the training manager or the senior V.P. but could not find either of them. I then went downstairs to ask if that was an appropriate thing to say (Guaranteeing the results of the negociations with the bank in the legal service being sold ) which I believed could not and should not be done as it may present false hopes to the already depressed and desperate consumer should the attorney not be able to deliver as promised by the salesperson. I was told by one of the Manager's in suite 200 (where I was Interviewed and hired) that no that should not have been said. He told me to report it to the senior V.P. but quickly changed his mind and decided to walk with me upstairs and tell him . He assured me that he would let him know without revealing my name as the source of information but he too lied outright.. I was later called into the office and told to explain who was it that told me to go downstairs and report what was said up here. I explained that I first decided to go to him or the manager but could not find him , so I went down to ask a question since scott earlier had said that if I needed to say something I could say it to him as if I were speaking to the Senior V.P.. He then went outside and came back with the V.P. of operations (Angel Gonzales)and wanted me to repeat what angel had instructed me to do , that w I was to shadow the other employees and was to learn "the Lingo" I told him that angel said that if anything was not proper to address it with him and to learn how to make the sales. Mr. silverstein then said that I was fired and that he was the head honcho and he makes the decisions in this office. I then told him that if I was fired that I was never told that this training was unpaid and that I wanted my pay for the last 4 days of work I had put in. At that point Mr. Gonzales confirmed that he had not told me when he hired me that the training was unpaid training or that work would be strickly commission, at that point the senior V.P. shouted to me , no one gets paid a salary. I explained that the posting I answered clearly stated that the Job was for Manager trainees and was to be paid Salary plus Bonus. and that they have to pay me my earned wages as I had worked for the last 4 days. Mr. silverstein conceded that since Mr. Gonzales had to pay me then he was only going to pay me 1 penny per hour.
I said could I have that now and he said angerly No I'm NOT paying you SH%#.
I was sooo angry and frustrated I stormed out saying that I was going to get paid one way or another , that this is america and I was not going to work as a slave for anyone. so he came out of the office claiming that I was fired twice by him and that I was trying to get the new worker fired. I suspect this company in nothing more that a RIP-OFF artists and Con Men not only to the poor and helpless but to all the Hard working workforce of america. They have no concience, or morals , or human decency,. not even a sense of inteligence ,as you can see with all the holes in their explainations and sales pitches. They strip the poor of thier daily sustanace and laugh.. How dispicable and discusting they are... DO NOT TRUST THEM!!!!! BEWARE! After reading up on them when I got home, I find that these persons were being reported to The FTC, FBI, The Attorney General and other federal agencies for Stealing the applicants Money ! Now the have stooped even lower and are stealing hard working americans wages.
