Luckily, I read the reports on "ripoffreports.com".
When I received the call from USA Credit, I was elated because it seemed to be just what I needed to re-establish my credit. I usually ask companies to send thier information by postal mail; but because I was practically desperate..I went along with it.
They will call you and tell you "you're already approved" for a credit-line of $7,500. I should have gotten suspicious when they asked for my social security number, routing number, and bank account number. They hung a $7,500 carrot in front of me and got all the info they need to debit my account. Duh.
When I called to cancel, I got a hard time..of course. When they did cancel my new account, they told me they were was no way they could send me confirmation (in writing) that the account was cancelled.
Legitimate companies don't do business this way. Don't be a fool like me and give out your info over the phone. If you are pre-authorized for a credit-line, get it in writing.
